    Hi all,

Recently got a 812 and started to think if I could aim for the next "the ferrari". Heard I need to have at least 5 to be considered at all. My first thought is: 812, 458 SA, 488 PS, SF90 and the next F8 track spider. Do you guys think I should get the 458 SA first or the pista spider? Thanks!

If you like the 812’s torque, you likely will favor the Pista.

Thanks. What's your take on the overall driving experience of these two cars?

It is very subjective based on what you value. Personally, 458SA is more emotive with the last naturally aspirated V8. Both are absolutely frighteningly fast on the street

In terms of holding it's value, I would probably go for the Pista spider. I've recently seen some 458SA price drops. The same has happened with the 458 speciale coupe over the last 1-2 years.

You've been getting advice on 458 Speciale Aperta vs 488 Pista Spider, however if your interest is in getting on the list for the La Ferrari successor, then the 5 cars that you listed will not be enough to qualify.

Used cars don't count - pour money away with Pilota & Challenge to get higher on the list - a new SF90 would help - your dealer spend is probably out by a factor of at least ten with just a used 812 !

From my understanding (I am but a humble peasant 360 owner) a real good way to get a car manufacturers attention is to order a bunch of cars from the factory with a crazy amount of options and personalization, even the ones you don't want. I don't know if buying used cars private party will help.

Test drove the speciale and the pista yesterday. You are right, the 458SA is definitely more of an emotional experience. Decided to purchase one through my dealer.

Thanks! How will the Pista spider hold its value given it's already 100k over MSRP for preowned?

Thanks for the advice! I am a complete novice in this game. My dealer said I need to have at least 15 Ferraris to be considered, which means buying every new car.

Thanks for your honest reply. My dealer told me it's gonna require at least 15 cars and a good deal of networking with the Ferrari NA. Maybe I'll just buy whatever used Ferrari I like instead of getting into this arms race.

True. Buying used cars even limited edition can't compare with buying new mass production cars with lots of options
