Hey, I grew up in Inverell - the Aussie was my local!

 

It's a small world isn't it. I had many a beer in the Aussie. I grew up in the big city of Gilgai.

 

We’ve had overnighters at Inverell on a few GG’s.

I remember Ron Thorpe in Inverell had quite an amazing collection of cars + a Navajo 8 seater twin aircraft....

 

Umm nup only once overnight I think,we went to the museum last year.

Small world indeed. I went through high school (IHS) with Ian Campbell but I think he lived out the Warialda Road. Moved away to the bright lights of Sydney in '79. Lived in Alice from '89 to '96 - best place in Aust to live I reckon.

There was a lot of interesting stuff tucked away in sheds around the district if you knew where to look.

 

Wow! I moved from Gilgai to Sydney in 88 then up to Alice Springs in 96.

Lot's of us Campbell's around the Inverell area.

Yep and a mate of mine,Sid Dikes,used to do business with the mob from Inverell Foundary,Alec,Peter and Glen.
Sid lived on the Arrawatta Rd and was a mining engineer as well as owning a piggery there.

 

Anyone in mining put a lot of work through the Foundary - we had gravel pumps there every other week.
