Hey guys, this may be a dumb question but I'm new to the Ferrari community. When my lights are on I always have my high beam indicators faintly lit up and will occasionally dim off. When high beams are on the light is far more prominent and solid. I'm wondering what might be causing this?

    Thank you for any guidance.

Hi, Dan. I'm guessing there is a faulty contact on the high beam headlight relay (perhaps the contact is not completely relaxing). There may be just enough volts to illuminate the light, but not turn on the high beam. If not, there may be a stray voltage on the wiring itself.

First try pulling the fuse (#17) for the left hand high beam headlight in the foward luggage compartment (left hand side looking forward) or the high beam relay (#31). If the high beam indicator light extinguishes completely (even when only with low beam on), there may be a problem with the relay or something downstream of that.

(Background). The output from the high beam relay to the left hand high beam headlight goes via a fuse and a splice. The splice branches off to the left hand headlight and also to the indicator lamp. I believe the instrument panel provides the earth (ground) for the lamp. There are several connectors in the circuit. There could be bent pins shorting out, but pulling the relay and the fuse might be the most simple step.... unless someone comes up with a better idea ;)

You could also try swapping the headlight relay (#31) and the horn relay (#30), if they have the same part number, to see if the high beam warning light extinguishes with low beam.

I'm hoping the relay isn't so broken that the horn sounds continuously when you swap the relays :D
