    Greetings!
I just completed the last needed work on my Q-Porte - rust repair to doors and lower fenders with welded sheet metal, then new paint in the original "Brown Metallizzato" shade. 69,130 miles.
    $22,500/offer
The car passed smog and was re-registered in August. It's in Burbank, California. All receipts available. Full details of all work and many photos at: http://1980maserati.com/ All systems work as designed! Inspections invited!

I had one of these in the same color.

I'm telling you, this thing is like a tank going down the road. It dominates. Wonderful car. Good luck selling it to a lucky new owner.

More pics! These cars have leatherlicious interiors, share please.

I used to pal around with a fellow that would throw his clipboard across the hood of his q and I would shudder in horror at the thought of scratching the paint. He truly didn’t give a ****, he just drove his like a tank, as stated.

Thanks - great to hear words of encouragement from a former owner! I've been friends with the former owner for 40+ years. He has a repair shop in Honolulu and made many posts to the QP III forum when he was using the car. It was "retired" for a long time in his garage until I showed interest in acquiring it. He got everything ship-shape over a 2 year period and then got antique plates for the car so it could be shipped to me in California. Actually still have the "Horseless Carriage" plates from Hawaii.
Interesting QP-Magnum P.I. connection - several cast and crew members had Quattroportes during the show's filming in Hawaii. I contacted Larry Manetti to inquire if this was his former QP, but it was not.
I've enjoyed the car and had it in in many local shows, but we'd rather have something "conventional" for planned driving trips. I have another rare bird for sale (Frazer Nash Mille Miglia), but will keep our '69 Alfa spyder and get it improved when the QP sells.

Agree 100% on the interior - that was a feature that first attracted me to the QP when I saw "a bunch" at Concorso Italiano years ago.
There are more interior photos at http://1980maserati.com/Photos.htm When/if the weather cools a bit, I'll take more photos and also make a video. My 1980maserati.com notes that the former owner had the entire dash apart to repair the A/C, then bought a half-hide to recover the dash. It's a perfect match and the remaining leather will go with the sale.
    Thanks for the comment!

I added some chassis photos to http://1980maserati.com/Photos.htm. at the very end. If more are needed, I'll try a different technique.

Glad you like the Maserati! I've had the Frazer Nash since 1975 (!!). My general website for the car is http://www.frazernash-usa.com/ The specific page for the Mille Miglia is http://www.frazernash-usa.com/afn168.htm, but only recent photos to aid a sale: http://www.frazernash-usa.com/NZ-2020.htm. The car stays in a Nelson, NZ museum. This is the first year we have not made a visit to tour with the MM since 2004.
A UK Frazer Nash specialist has been privately promoting the sale; I'm close to a decision to ship it to England. There was recent interest in the US also. The Mille Miglia is one of 12 of this model and our asking price is higher than the Le Mans Replica models on offer. The QP may be included with the Frazer Nash sale - a bonus!

    Hi all -
The Quattroporte was entered in the Petersen museum "virtual cars and coffee" and should be part of their video scheduled for September 27.
The entry was a video limited to 45 seconds - not enough time! So consider this short video as a sneak preview of a longer video, planned for YouTube in 1-2 days:
    Cheers!

Very nice! This Quattroporte was owned by a mechanic & friend in Honolulu for many years. I lived in Honolulu from 1969 to 1985 - it was my last duty station and much nicer than my last abode - Chu Lai, RVN. After moving to California, I went to the Auto Literature Swap Meet every year. Probably in the early '90s, when the event was still at Pasadena City College, I bought the QP owner's manual with its leather folder and sent it to the owner in Honolulu. It came with the car from Honolulu when I completed the sale in May, 2018. Much nicer than the scanned versions!

They really are! I was attracted to the QPIII because of the Giugiaro styling and the interior - I think the best of its era. BTW, I have a photo of Mr. Giugiaro with me and my '79 Alfa-Romeo Sprint Veloce, which he also styled. This was at the 1995 Concorso Italiano.
