    My view is this.

Those people really upset are the ones who shout and complain the most. Those that like it or don't see it a big deal never say anything.

I plan to add a window tint stripe across the top of the wind shield. That should cut down on some direct sunlight.

I have 2 plans if its really a problem.

    1) sell it. Getting rid of an early convertible shouldn't be a problem
    2) die the top part of the dash. Its real leather. It should die easily by a professional.

But honestly I'm not worried. All dashes reflect, even black ones.

First thing I am doing is taking out the tan mats and putting in lloyds black ones. Those won't last a week in that color as a daily driver.

The reflections are due to the severe angle of the windshield. The phenomenon is referred to as 'veiling glare'.

It has been a problem on every Ferrari I have owned. Some worse than others. This isn't a GM or Corvette problem, it is a physics problem. The steeper the windshield angle, the worse the veiling glare. In essence, the windshield is acting like a mirror. The lighter the top of the instrument panel, the more reflection you are going to have. Lambos and other cars with steep windshield angles all share the same characteristics.

It's Monday morning quarterbacking. 'If I did it over again, this is what I'd do'. Lessons learned thru experience.
People have regrets when they custom order their dream car, wait 6 months to a year to get it, then find something so 'simple' was an 'oops, wish I hadn't done that'. Of course they live with it because it's their baby.
Deviated stitching (or light colored dash) is great, except on the top of the dash where it is reflected in the windshield.

There's also a big problem in the angle of the glass for dirty windshields. My Alfa is really hard to see out of if the windshield is not clean. Direct sunlight turns to looking through a fog.

I would get the interior you want and a matte dash pad. Heck you should be able to make one from black felt and attach it . I drove my fun cars very early in the morning or late at night so glare was not as much of an issue as they were not daily drivers. Lotus, slant nose 930, carb Ferrari and Lambo. My good olde days. :)

I love the Zeus bronze, and would love to have one with the black / tan interior a few years from now, after I find another freaking job. :)

I've had some good results on dashes below steeply angled windshields by applying Leatherique. It softens the leather and dulls the reflection of the leather.

I'll be getting one with a black dash.

First I've heard the Leatherique changes the OEM finish of the leather. That's a real disadvantage for a leather treatment especially for a Ferrari or other high end exotic. Maybe not for a DD though.

    I just drove my friend’s C8.
Wow....impressive car. Looks great red/black, sounds great, handles beautifully, view out windshield is gorgeous, tech is great, seats/leather (3LT) all superb, plenty fast.
Exotic car market will definitely feel the sting of the C8, especially the Z06...no doubt in my mind.
While driving his car I was beginning to question my decision to put down $20K deposit for an F8 Spider allocation.

So what are people’s preference: Do you like having an accent blade where it’s a different colour from the body and so it stands out, or do you prefer it to be the same colour as the rest of the body?

I’m honestly on the fence and don’t know which way to go. Granted, I’ve got awhile to figure it out before I go look for a convertible, but I’m torn

This is the same car. Delivered to one of Mike Furman's customers in Maryland. They both drove down to the event.

It really gets down to personal preference. GM makes more money when someone specifies a color other than black.
