I just bought my first Ferrari on 8-18-20 and was wondering if there are any other 360 owners in the Birmingham or Huntsville area? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There’s two up here in Huntsville from what I remember. Definitely one in Birmingham that’s Rosso Barchetta.
Beautiful car!!! I think TDF blue cars look great. There are a few 360's in Birmingham but you don't see them very often. Magic City Octane meets one a month at the Summit. Usually there are a few Ferrari cars at the event.
What's up Tommy? It has been a while. I just joined the FCA again and was looking to see if there were any track events scheduled for Talladega but I didn't see any listed. Do they still have those?
I know right? I always said my first would be a 308 in red then I go buy a blue 360. The 360 seems to be at a low and 308 seems to be bringing a premium. I still love the 308, maybe it will be my next one or better yet maybe I can talk JenniLeigh into buying one.
It's a paddle car and took a little getting used to. I do like how it shifts really hard under power but is fairly smooth under normal driving.
Now David, you know I have always loved the 355 and 360. I even have the screen name to match. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You folks want to try to do a track day a Talladega Grand Prix one Saturday this fall on a non- football weekend; arrive Friday, optional hotel and dinner in Anniston Friday night practicing social distancing, track Saturday? I'm willing to give it a shot if we can get enough people. Reply here or email me at [email protected] or call 205.657.3503 Drew
Tommy, I sent a note to the FCA regional director regarding doing an event at Talladega Grand Prix Speedway. They have had some restriction on events and I want to be sure we are in the clear to do this as an FCA event. The fallback or perhaps a more practical way is to get a bunch of us together and do it during one of their open car days. Here is the info: https://talladegagp.com/open-car-days-at-tgpr/
I am having my car in at HESCO for a check up so to speak. Hopefully all is sorted or at least nothing major. If all goes well then I'll be up for it.
I think so. I went to their web site to look at some dates for us and saw they had instituted "Open Car Day" It might be easier. Let me see what FCA has to say then I'll give the track a call and get more information and post it (probably in a new thread) nd go from there.
Tommy, I spoke with FCA and they are good as long as we get people to sign a Covid waiver. In looking at this, TGPS has an open date Saturday Nov 7 - and no AL football. It is basically open as the lady I spoke to at the track said it does not fill up until the week before. Are you good that weekend. If so I will send out an FCA notice and a note to some of our car buddies in BHM. What do you think - but would love to have your track help or any help for that matter.
Just saw this, sorry I'm good with that weekend. Are you wanting to restrict this to Ferrari only or do like Mike Charness did back in the day and do a "Ferrari and Friends" event?
Personally I think the best thing to do is to invite the Mercedes Club and the guys in the Mt Brook Driving Club (some of whom may be FCA members already) It will increase participation and decrease costs since I think we are required to hire an ambulance for the day.
Drew, pm me your email. I spoke with Alan Thacker, the event guy with MBDC. He wants you to get in touch with him.
A while back I did see one at my mechanics shop being serviced that was some shade of dark red, not sure if it is the same as Rosso Barchetta
