Hi guys I’ve had this Ferrari 360 for 8 years without any troubles, I went to start her today and there is no immobiliser light blinking on dash and she wouldn’t start.i recently moved from the big city ( Sydney) out to the country so a Ferrari service station is a long way off. Now I’ve checked this out and I reckon I can change the unit myself.what I need to know is does anything need to be done to the immobiliser before I fit it or does it just go straight in and away we go thanks for looking and any advise would be welcome.

Contact 360trev on this site. He has extensive immobilizer experience. Located in UK I believe. He should have a solution.

I know mine would crank but not start when the engine hood was open, which really bugged me.

Did you happen to park next to a cell phone tower? I believe this is a known issue that the immobilizer would not activate if parked in the vicinity of one of those.
