And if he had not had KERS in a couple of races, he would have likely not have been crowned.

He did have the best team/team mate though ... one that would 'move over' (in the pits) for him, despite the 'no team orders' rule ;-)

Raikkonen benefited greatly from the infighting at McLaren, where they were taking each other points.
Ron Dennis didn't impose any sort of discipline in his team, and paid for it by having his team losing what should have been a certain championship.
The discord between Hamilton and Alonso, then Dennis and Alonso was Ferrari best ally that year.

Was that the question? No. But to answer it anyways...No, Ferrari didn't have team orders only until Massa was really out of it. Yes, Mclaren had favouritism after the relationship between Lewis and Alonso was completely ****ed.
Dennis was completely behind Lewis much earlier than Ferrari decided to use team orders.

No, it wasn't a question so no need to 'answer' it.

So Ferrari had team orders even though they were illegal? (That's a rhetorical question, so no need to answer it BTW). I guess we'd better put an asterisk after Kimi's World Championship then.

PS. I've never been much of a fan of Ron Dennis and I enjoyed this tale from David Coulthard's auto biography:

'The first sign that there might be specific favouritism towards Mika came in Melbourne 1996 [Coulthard's first race for McLaren]. I was with my race engineer and Mika was chatting to his.

'The door opened and Ron [Dennis] walked in. I stood up to shake his hand and Ron ignored me. Instead he strode over to sit next to Mika and said, "What's the plan, guys?" We all listened to Mika's plans [for the race] and then Ron said, "OK, what are they doing?" Here was my team principal talking about me as if I was a rival team. "They" is not a word you use in a team situation, surely? At that exact moment, I think the naivety, the innocence of my youth, shattered around me.'

Marko just said that last year Hamilton had suggested to Horner to replace Gasly with Albon.
Although Marko is not the most reliable in the paddock, it fits pretty well with the hypocrisy that can be guessed at lewis.
He has already proven himself on the subject in the past.

Lewis last year also suggested Alonso should join Verstappen...As usual Lewis is full of ****. Now he's moaning that Gasly wasn't treated fairly by Red Bull. Always the king of hindsight.

2007 F1 season. So you think Kimi drove an "ok" car to 6 wins and the title? Seems like a guy that good would have multiple titles....
His team mate (Massa) finished 4th that year.

The question was who didn't have the best car. Not HOW bad it was or wasn't.

And yes, Kimi should've had multiple titles. Can blame Mclaren for that...

Will Lewis achieve 90 wins today or will it be the start of a series of bad luck, as we saw last week in Italy? How many races will it take Lewis to hit the rare air of 90 F1 wins?

DonB 7-day ban for posting political content.

Commenting on LH's politically motivated actions are the cause of all these bans. Users here need to recognize that not all his actions may be discussed here, specifically any political ones are off limits.

Closing this thread would do no good as long as LH is a driver in F1. The same thing is happening in this week's F1 race thread.

Not quite sure the sponsors would like LH covering up there sponsorship space with a T shirt - perhaps he'll give them their money back!

Someone needs to remind Lewis that he is a member of a bigger team and at the end of the day an EMPLOYEE of the Mercedes F1 team.

Today their sponsors were denied advertising revenue they paid for by Lewis’ actions. I for one would want compensation for the loss.

The sponsors may have a quiet word with him.
Hamilton hasn't signed his new contract yet, and maybe some new clauses will be added.
