Love your new hoist, Elliott. Can you get the arms under the car without jacking up the car beforehand (like driving onto wooden planks)?

Beautiful work Elliot! Love your thread.

Ian, I use a pair of race ramps to get the front up enough to get my arms under. I made marks on the floor to know where to place them. Almost easier to grab the jack as the ramps can slide. Not as bad now that my floor is getting some wear and tear. Pretty sure these are the ones I have:

Excellent. I made 4 wooden ramps by nailing two 1 inch (?) planks of wood together, the top plank smaller than the bottom one to create a small step, but oddly, I seem to spin my wheels just trying to get the car onto them (or smoke up the clutch). I can't figure out what' I'm doing wrong.

I have an expensive set of low profile race ramps with extenders, but you can only put them under one pair of wheels. You can't raise the car uniformly a few inches.

It was the first time using it Ian for me so I used wooden planks to clear the front arms just to be sure. I raised a 360 with no issues though. I think with some practice should be all good to position it and raise it without mucking around. But it wasn’t bad to raise it either way.

Your car is spotless Elliott! The fact that you drive it though is the real badge of honor.

Thanks Barry. The car has received it before but that doesn’t stop me from improving it each time it’s shown.

Pulled off the steering wheel and loosened the dash binnacle for ease of installing the refinished steering column surround.

Also the radio surround, window switches, bezel and door triangles fitted. Waiting on the shifter rebuild to fit the gate surround and associated buttons. So happy with how the interior looks.

Just out of curiosity. Points taken off for Tubi headers? Or you just hope they don't notice?

Some notice. It should not make a difference to the car scoring platinum especially once you read the rules. 100 points up for grabs with an otherwise close to perfect car it will clear the bar easily. I really can’t be bothered to change the headers too. I worry about them failing and the effort in removal etc.

I’m not even sure if the 2.7 headers are available new from Ferrari anymore in their original look and design. Just like the factory water radiators if you can’t source new items it should not matter if an appropriate alternative is sourced.

I've decided that I want to buy your car, flip it upside down, and eat all of my meals off of it.
