What could Lawrence Stroll could say to the mother if he had dropped Lance from the team:
"Darling, I have just sacked sonny !"

Well, it's certainly a personal and emotional decision rather than a business ($$$$$$$) decision.

 

You can also measure the potential consequences if young Stroll had been told he wouldn't be racing next year.
That would come as a huge treachery after years of backing him up, don't you think?
The fact is that Lance is not as bad as his detractors are saying, and he is still improving, so even from a business aspect, it makes sense to keep him.

 

I'm just comparing Stroll to Ocon and Perez whom are better drivers than Stroll.

I realize he's dad's son, but dad brought him into F1 early by jumping his son from F2. Had dad kept his son in F3 then F2 then F1, then his son would probably had better race-craft.

 

Family makes this decision all the time. World turns. Lance is released and what would be the impact at all. Zero.

If Stroll was actually serious Lance would not be on the grid. But he has play money and money from others. What is his real exposure to loss in F1? He has done well to minimize it one can be sure.

Lance has 'improved' after 4 years he should be. In the real sense he is outclassed by more junior drivers with more talent. I do not need to list them do I?

 

Well, Lawrence Stroll made the decision, and that's fine with me.

 

I can accept that rushing Lance to F1 was maybe not wise.
I don't approve of teenage racing drivers anyway.

Monza finish(P3) was like Baku 2017...plus Stroll really lucked into not pitting...free pit stop due to K-Mag stopping at pit entry. Perez pitted earlier.

Stroll had 1 DNF vs Perez 2 DNF 's(Covid-19).

Stroll will lose his P4 position in the WDC as the season goes.
