I think Kmag is a good driver but too inconsistent. Same can be said for Grosjean, though I think Kmag is better than him. Putting Hulk or Perez in Grosjean's seat is a good start. Kmag brings big sponsors I believe.

Ideally Haas will get both Hulk and Perez.

Lance did a great job during the race at Mugello. Was in 3rd and was passed in the pits by Riccardo. Lance was catching Riccardo when the car had a failure. He was in front of Perez the whole time and still is ahead in the points. Lance is 21, still improving and shouldn’t be dismissed.

A failure cause by Lance driving over the curbs. He was in front of Perez because he had the latest aero package.

I am no fan of Grosjean or Magnusen...and Steiner doesn't seem to bring much to the table either. The whole team is a disaster. I can't figure out what Haas is getting out of this exercise in masochisme. They started out strong and have been going down hill ever since. What will Hulk and Perez be able to do in such a slow car...they'll only humiliate themselves. Hulk's next seat will be in the announce booth. Perez should go after Ocon's seat, or Kvyat's.

hey started out with weeks of time in the Ferrari wind tunnel, and have developed the car backwards over 5 years.

    Absolutely.

I was wondering whether the team was paying enough attention to his tires. After all MB warned and told Lewis to stay off the curbs.

I know. And why wasn't RP telling that to their drivers? Didn't they monitor tire wear, pressure etc?

Mercedes were only battling against each other so slowing both drivers didn’t threaten their dominance. Lance was trying to capture Riccardo’s podium position and was being threatened for 4th place by Albon. Tough call when no tires had failed to that point. Would be interesting to know what Mercedes noticed that tipped them off.

I agree with Carlos but it is a very naive statement, F1 hasn’t been about who is the fastest driver for a long time now , all about the money . Very cutthroat

Haas is stupid for renewing both donkeys.

If they are smart, get in Perez, and the Hulk. push them to push Alphas..

    Agreed.

I think there is still some wiggle room. Alfa is trying to keep Kimi and to ditch Giovanazzi. They would love nothing more than to get Perez for the other seat. But they might be forced by Ferrari to take on Schumacher.

I see Haas throwing in the towel soon.

HAAS has close ties with Ferrari. Alfa should keep Kimi, add Perez. HAAS should get Gio and Schumacher. Make HAAS the true Ferrari development team. Give Gene a discount on his engine contract to "test" the most novice Ferrari Academy drivers.
