    hello all
I just got for my BB a complete nearly never used interieur from a BBi and have now a little problem. there are some things a little different.
here are 2 copies from the parts catalog. one is from the BB and the other from the BBi.
you see at the BB the upper screw from the safety belt is directly in front of the rear window in the small shelf.
on the BBi there is an about 8 cm high increase where the cover ( 18 ) goes on but this inside is hollow. so there has to be something under this "cover"

someone could post a photo from this part the cover is on?

if someone would need the old interieur from my BB please send me a message. it is light to medium brown

On my BBi there is a welded metal post with a thread on top, the cover is there so the post is concealed.

Not difficult to fabricate but correctly welding it inside your car in this tight spot can be. Make sure you shield the glass as it is easily damaged with sparks. I’m sure you also know the bracing is crucial when lengthening the anchor point so much. I’m guessing you are tall and the current position is uncomfortable?

I´m not tall, only 1,68 m, and so as it is just now I´m happy with.
so I think I will use the old original threads for the safety belts and forget those "doms", but then I have to use the old cover and put new black leather on.
will have a look coming week and then decide

It is smart to keep the low posts Romano. I'm also 1.68 m high and the belt in my BBi is slightly annoying due to the belt crossing too high on my chest.

I was VERY lucky to have a gentleman in Australia who was in the process of restoring his Boxer fabricate a pair of those parts.
Here are photos of the mold. They are a PERFECT fit

So far, I´m very confused with the Seat Belt Mounts in BBs/BBis...

Some have the higher variant, some not. Some have a Tray on the rear shelve, some not.

So far, I couldn´t make out, if it was market dependant, year depandant or whatever. Some very near chassisnumbers have different configurations. Why?

I think the BB are even mounted on the rear shelve and the BBi is higher. so the parts catalog says ( see post 1 here )
also I think only the BBi has the tray

No. Its not that easy ;)

A friend has a BB with tray and high seatbelts. We have an BB with low seatbelt and no tray. At the dealer is a BB with tray and low seatbelts. All in the 32xxx to 34xxx range.

A friend has an BBi without tray and high seatbelts.

Initially i thought also, that BBs had low seatbelts and no tray, but that prooved wrong.

Ive run into the high belt mounts as well, I thought it was a BBi thing at first now I think its a market thing, a requirement depending on the country.
