I always wear the same watch. It stopped working 11 years ago and that's exactly why I like it so much...
Not a very good picture, but just got it from the AD. I think I like it, not sure. What do you think? Image Unavailable, Please Login
So refreshing to see a picture of the Speedmaster Mk4 . My father bought me one when I was 13 and it has been in my possession since , love the watch , it is timeless
Probably. How much do you think you’ll ask for it Kirk? Oh! Sorry, I’m really sorry I didn’t return your call she was having a tough day when you called and, frankly, I forgot to call you back. Sorry.
No worries Dave , you have enough going on. As for the watch there’s about 6300 in melt so probably 7k.
I think only us old geezers remember those! For reasons which may forever remain unclear, I'm strangely attracted to/fascinated by those old Corums. You need a fat gold chain, and a clashing shirt/sportcoat combo, and a fat cigar to really flesh out the image!!
Snooze, you loose. I missed a yellow gold PP Calatrava for $7,500 today. Offered it to me 2 months ago but with Helen I paused. He sold it today. Oh well, I certainly don’t NEED one.
Never look back my friend! The beauty of life's conveyor belt, as least as relates to material things, is that something else interesting will come along if you fail to grab the thing passing in front of you right now!
You are, of course, wise and completely correct as always. Considering her hospital bill was just north of a mill I probably should dial back the watch wants for a while.
For my birthday (the 16th) I decided I wanted to wear a special watch. Dug in the safe, and pulled out The Great White Whale...the stainless Daytona I bought at MSRP from my Rolex dealer. He did me a total solid by leaving stickers on. They increase resale by thousands...so it seems. But trying to wear a watch with stickers feels really, really weird. Like trying to relax on a sofa with slipcovers. I put the Daytona back in the safe. Grabbed at random...pulled out a heavy pouch. Ah! The Rolex Deepsea Seadweller! Chilling...websurfing...still kinda fascinated by the whole sticker deal. I poked around the Deepsea, and found there were still some stickers left! It felt SO GOOD to pull those bits of detritous off...like it must feel to have a deep pore facial that gets rid of years of caked in dirt. Realized at that point that watches with stickers are like Ferraris kept in the garage. Gonna get a good night's sleep, then I think I'll take my Ferrari 348SS out for a good, long drive, and come back and peel all the damn stickers off my Daytona. Image Unavailable, Please Login
...or maybe I'll just peel the suckers now, then go to sleep. Hell, it's my birthday, I make the rules! Image Unavailable, Please Login
