It doesn't look too bad, certainly better than the gto! Image Unavailable, Please Login the nose looks to be the worst part....
As I have said I don't collect 1/18th, but I don't get Tecnomodel. They cant get anything perfect. The wheels are horrible and to big and the shapes are either way off or wrong in many areas. If I were a collector I would avoid most of their models. They look like hand built toys with photoetch window frames.
Tecnomodel also made several Maseratis. I have their 151/3, as it's the only 1/18 scale model of this car and I could get it at a steep discount. The shape is horribly off. It's too short, too wide and all proportions and shapes are wrong. And of course the wheels are too big. Unfortunately, I can't see other manufactures having a go at this model as Tecnomodel already served the market. Their 450S is even worse; the Alfas seem to be quite OK though.
Technomodel doesn't care obviously about accuracy, nor do most most other model manufacturers, collectors have little choice but either buy what is available or bypass, or save your budget and have Lusso123 build you a precise museum quality piece worth having. One would think with all the technology, 3D imaging product would be better but it has not happened.

Any opinions on the quality of BBR 1/18 vs. Looksmart 1/18 models? I'd like to get one of a Portofino, and it looks like these two companies are the only ones that make them.
I had a few of the 312Ps and sold them; the rivetwork was over exaggerated and spoiled the accuracy of the model. There are better made CMC models for less money.
That's one of the things that kept me from buying it and I think the door gaps were also not so good. I didn't expect it to go so high and the 312 is one of my favourite Ferraris and there's no alternative . I think it's like the GMP 330 P4, not perfect but certainly the best 1/18 die-cast version of the model you can get.
Since I first saw "Grand Prix", I've always liked the 1966 two-valve Ferrari with its iconic exhaust pipes, and now we're finally getting it in 1/18 scale, in Monaco and Nurburgring versions; they are also doing Scarfiotti's Monza-winning three-valve car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also, Spark is doing the Brabham BT49 that Niki Lauda walked away from, in the rarely seen 1979 colors, before the cars became predominantly white in 1980. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And it's a bit off-topic, but since I recently saw someone decry the lack of 1/18 models of late-model IndyCars, Greenlight is doing Takuma Sato's Dallara-Honda, this year's 500 winner! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Honored to annouce BBR Models made a 30 piece production run of my F12Tdf. I bought 10 of them and the other 20 sold out in hours. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
How fantastic to have them make a model of your car! A friend also had BBR make a model of his car. Strangely they didn't tell him and he only found out from me.
This looks a really nice model from BBR, 1967 Le Mans pace car. https://www.bbrmodelstore.com/english/car-model-preo_bbr1858_ferrari-330-gt-2-2-series-pace-car--24h-le-mans-1967.aspx Image Unavailable, Please Login
somebody told me the car is dark green but I am not sure here is an old pic Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well... I was waiting for this release from BBR and it was just a matter of time after the G.P. Tuscany race this livery will be available in 1:18 scale. We all know this year's car sucks but I really like what Ferrari did to celebrate their 1000 race. So I went ahead and per-ordered Leclerc's car with the case and once it arrives (some day) it will be displayed next to my 800 gp Ferrairs. Now I'm curious how many BBR will produce making this a very limited model under 100? Its interesting that BBR didn't release in 1:18 scale, Ferrari's 70 year anniversary car but they did in 1:43 while back. Thoughts? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting! I note that the 330 GT registry says dark blue although the car is unidentified so I guess that is also interpreting from photographs. I do note the details that are clearly correct on the model like the single wing mirror, the Scuderia shield on only one side etc. I don't think I will buy it at more than 400 Euros but, even if the colour does prove to be wrong (and BBR may have information from the Factory as they do have a good relationship with Ferrari), it looks like a really nice model with good attention to detail, including the interior and an interesting subject too with the flags.
