That is a beautiful color! I was surprised it was only referred to as Burgundy and not some cool Italian name.
Anyone know of an existing Ferrari color that matches? Rosso Rubino?

It was my response to the criteria for the TDF! I forgot the 599 SA and 16 M, they do count. Of course for the next limited series the TDF and the SP1/2 count and the latter counts even more for the next Icona allocation

An existing colour that matches Mugello? I'd say the closest match is Mugello...

Personally I think it is a bit dull. A very close match in metallic is Rosso California.
Rosso Bordeaux and Rubino are both much darker.

I meant to stress that the replacement of the 812 will get an replacement after its life time and so on. So I hope this (new) lineage we will see after the 812 is going to be here to stay.

That will apparently cease in the next 5-7 years due to EURO 7 regulations (due for finalization by end of 2021) that specifically intend to regulate all combustion engines out of existence (within the EU). For Europe there appears to be a time when Ferrari will no longer produce vehicles with actual engines, hopefully they will continue for other markets without such regulations.

Actually that what Ferrari already did with the 208 Turbo, with a smaller engine, and with some other models that needed to fit US regulations and had the same engine as on EU but with less power (specific exhaust if I’m not wrong).

Then it should well be possible that Ferrari need to be back on this dilemma of having 2 engine/exhaust configuration for each model to fit all the regulations.

The color on the 1000GP car looks to me like a mix between Rosso Rubino and Rosso Vinaccia. They claim it‘s an homage to the cars of the 1950‘s which were pretty different IMO. Way too much purple in there (burgundy touch) for it to be like the original Rosso Barchetta...

I'm adding that the 1000GP colour looks solid, not metallic. @Marcel Massini do you have info about the exact colour name or code? I tried to google it a couple of days ago but only "Burgundy" showed up. Anyway I'm sure that at some point last century there has been a simply "Burgundy" colour name in the Ferrari range.

    And sorry about the OT.

The ICE is going nowhere, also in Europe. It's just not feasible. The only way I could this happen is if EV Sales would really start gain traction immediately an massively (with Covid even less likely to happen). Time is in favor of alternative fuels which become probably ready at the same time as we have a decent amount of EVs driving around.

You can't judge by those photos. That is very much a shade Mugello can have depending on light. Same with Rosso Cali. It becomes quite bright in direct sun, but goes really dark otherwise.
