Recently acquired 2002 575. Currently has smoked rear lights. Considering going back to stock. Maybe they are growing on me, I dont know.

Left is mine, Right is stock of course. What do you think?

If you are a purist then go back to original. I like the smoked.

Depends if its otherwise stock. I prefer the OEM tails but if you have wheels and its lowered might suit the look.

Smoked look good on certain colors, gray one of them. Either works, to be honest.

Also, depending on your (global) location, it might be that darker(ened) and/or different than OEM color lenses are non-compliant (= illegal) in some countries or jurisdictions, EU and US for example come to kind and while one might be able to get away with using them, they may become problematic in case of any insurance claims, etc.

Same with darker than OEM tinting of windshield and front side glass (how often do people read, let alone understand the small “legal/liability” print and their implications on service or work order agreements before signing ?)

Thanks. I am not a total purist, some tasteful mods I am good with.

I am in Los Angeles, not too worried about the compliance piece :)

The car is lowered about 1-1.5" all around with 550 Barchetta wheels, which I do like a lot, although considered switching to 19" modulars, but these do make it a bit unique for a 575.

    Couple more pics:

Yeah, the smoked. Seems to combine well with the Barchetta wheels. The overall package....color, wheels, smoked lenses....it works.

Works on your car. Maybe keep your eyes peeled for a cheap set of oem to keep just in case. I wouldn't run out and spend big $$ to change them personally

They were smoked by previous owner.

Thanks, yes its a 2002 575. My first Fcar! I like it! Totally different than some of my other cars (porsche 993, audi r8).

Beautiful 575! I say keep the smoked lenses - they look great!

What size front tires are you running? they look a bit meatier than the stock size, but perhaps it’s the angle of the pic.

    Congrats - she’s a beaut!

The 18" wheels use taller tires than the 19" ones, so there is more tire showing between the wheel and fender.

    Yes 18" wheels.

    255/40 ZR 18 front
    295/35 ZR 18 rear

Yes using spacers due to the barchetta offset wheels.

The Barchetta wheels have exactly the same offsets as the other Maranello 18" and 19" wheels (within .05"). We use the spacers because we like the looks better.

Thank you Taz. Forgive for my ignorance :).

I will say it does give the car a nice stance with the spacers and lowered a bit.
