Looks good! Reminds me of way back during the pandemic lockdown of 2020 when we were literally eating out of cans, etc. I hadn't had a tuna fish sandwich in eons, but developed a craving. We bought a ton and had it a dozen times. Itch = scratched
I don't like canned fish. When I feel like a tuna sandwich, I'll buy the tuna steaks at Costco and grill them up. Makes an awesome sandwich.
Wife bought a dozen cans at Costco at the start of the pandemic. 3 more to go. After seeing FCMDs post, I made TF sammiches tonight. Old school. I kicked it up a notch with Wasabi and homemade bread from our bread machine...T
Agree. No Costco tuna in the fridge, so I went with the can and then fancied it up with spices like Wasabi, cayenne powder, etc...T
Correction on fish in a can. I like it when it was canned at home. My mom cans salmon and its great for sandwiches. The co op store has steaks on sale. Their T-bones are thinner then the butcher shop, but just as good. Planning a T-bone for dinner tonight.

Argentine shrimp. That's a new one on me. Looks yummy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Wagyu, smashed burgers. T
HEB has them, they're pink and come shelled/de veined. Butter, lemon, vino bianco and a few saffron threads. (dress with parsley)
The T-bones come in a pack of two. Ended up having one last night with corn on the cobb. I was originally going to Red Robin, but they had a huge line for dine in and take out. Didn't feel like waiting. I'm going for sushi tonight. The restaurant is new to me, well reviewed on Yelp. Don't have high hopes, they serve Korean food as well. Korean owned Japanese restaurants are hit and miss, mostly miss. https://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-chef-sushi-restaurant-langley
The sashimi was good, hard to screw up fresh tuna and salmon. Rolls ok, they broke apart too easily. Had better rolls.................. Tonight I'm trying to get my brother to do a giant burger and poutine challenge at a Canadian chain restaurant. If you eat the burger and poutine in an hour, its free and you get a T-shirt... info here: https://www.foodchallenges.com/challenges/canadian-brewhouses-rita-burger-challenge-south-edmonton/

Tonight was lamb on the Weber... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Marinated in olive oil, fresh garlic, S&P, lemon juice, rosemary. Cooked over oak/charcoal. Served with homemade kinda-sorta harissa. https://www.themediterraneandish.com/harissa-recipe/ Didn't have half of the ingredients, so I improvised - piquin peppers, tomato sauce instead of paste, smoked paprika, cumin, cardamon, S&P, oil. Blitzed it. Was spicy enough. Went well with the lamb. T
My brother was watching baseball and didn't want to go with me last night. We'll do the challenge tomorrow.
Try a wok. Easier to stir, control temps, maybe even faster. Wife likes her pecans a little more toasted than the big bags Costco sells, so I do them in our cast iron wok, add a little butter and some salt. Comes out great. Of course, you'd have to be more careful with sugar than salt...T
Used the Side Kick burner to power my cast iron and did a one-pan Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions. Yummy! Got a turkey in the oven. They are on sale here at most grocery stores. Canadian thanksgiving is second Monday of Oct. Plan was to get some corn for a side. But today the farmer who rents a lot near my house was out. Today is also his last day there. With the leftovers I'll make enchiladas sub turkey for chicken.
