Each to their own but 10,000 UK pound is equivalent to nearly US$14,000.
That's a lot for a modern book in anyones language.

    Agree Matt.
This might be one of the fastest selling (and who knows... most collectable) motoring books released in ages.
I'd be surprised if they don't double in value pretty quickly.

Hey fellow book lovers. Have you guys noticed what I guess could be described as poor editing in books lately? I have run across several errors in what would be classified as high end books, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I don’t think I have seen this in the past and I have been collecting books for over 40 years.

Before my Miura Book arrives there's one more last little hurdle waiting for me from our mates at the Australian Customs Office.

650 UK Pound wasn't enough for me to pay for this book set it seems.

A request for another AUS $275 for import dutys came via DHL.

    FML !!! :(

This is just disgusting, it's a book, not drugs!

Same here if I order from non-EU countries, though a bit cheaper. 7% tax on item value including (!) shipping costs. Normally 19% but books enjoy a special low tax rate (currently there's Covid-19 bonus: 16% / 5% VAT). No customs for books, but for other items, especially if they come from China I am highly cautious regarding customs prior to buying anything.

@bloomberg. It would have been a drugs supply, Rosey wouldn't have to pay AUD 275.00, but probably gotten a lift to somewhere we Germans call 'Swedish Curtains*'.

*Swedish Curtains: A coarse-meshed welding design made from steel bar around 10-mm thick, used in front of certain windows.

Just an update, I discovered there is no duty to be paid on books, printed materials, etc into Australia so was able to get a small fee component back (AUD $55) which brings it down to an additional AUD $220 that had to be paid.

Still crazy... but a wins a win.

I was wondering, all those different Ferrari-books and all personally signed by Enzo.
He was signing all those books, year after year, day after day, or am I wrong? o_O

Enzo Ferrari liked being Enzo Ferrari. He liked signing these "presentation books" for guests and dignitaries as well as sponsors and factory workers. The bottom line is, yes, Enzo Ferrari signed many items over the years.

Ken Breslauer's standard reference on the Sebring 12 Hours, last issued in 1995, is finally being updated. And it has Roger Warrick's painting of the 1970-winning 512S (followed by the Revson/McQueen 908) on the cover!
