There seems to be very scant information about Ferrari 250 GTL 4555GT, only that it was once in colour red which is not the colour it came out with from factory. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I have been shown a picture of this car in the 80's , having been told that the car also had 250GTO mechanical parts in , I wonder if this is correct and how this came about Image Unavailable, Please Login

Looks like this photo was taken at the customs station in Berne, Switzerland when in March 1986 the car came from USA to Switzerland and was sold to Swiss broker/dealer Ch. G. who then re-sold it to Emilian Auto SpA near Bologna, Italy.

This picture was taken by me late autumn in Oslo, Norway in 1997, shortly after the car was registered on Norwegian plates. Amazing how pictures travel around the world... lol
Further work was done on the car that winter as it was in dire need of some TLC. That led to some interesting findings on the car suggesting it had been used at some point in its life for race or rally. That is history that would be very interesting to know.......

Owner at that time (1997) was E. B. from Nesoya, a small island in the municipality Asker, Norway.
He had bought her 1994 and kept her until late 2013. Plates were F 25062.

That is correct. The car remained in Norway until 2005 when he decided to begin a LONG restoration process in europe, sadly he sold the car on completion in 2013 as you said. Was looking forward to its return, hopefully the new owners have enjoyed the completed result.

Indeed they do. However, inside the diff housing was one of these, NOT std issue on a Lusso.... There was a lot of head scratching when I asked for parts for this diff, it ended up with Colin Clarke to provide the correct parts to service the diff. Quoting Colin, "most commonly found on a GTO".

I think the sliding block limited-slip diff was standard on the Lusso.
