Need to give final spec for my Rosso Corsa F8 Tributo configuration and I'm hesitating between the Sport wheels in Grigio Corsa Mat or Diamond?

I will most probably go with black callipers although currently still specced Yellow.

Any feedback or comparison pictures are welcome!

    Thx in advance!

Check out some of the YouTubes and you can see both rims and on red cars.

I think they are identical in terms of weight so it is a purely aesthetic decision.

    I went with Diamond Finish.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I'm actually looking at adds having new F8 for sale ;)

At first sight (pictures) there is not so much difference between them.

An advantage of the painted wheels is that they can be fairly easily repaired if they suffer any curb rash or pothole damage. The diamond finish cannot be repaired without removing a lot of material from the wheel, which will be visible.

diamond looks amazing in real life. those online tools and youtube videos don't show how good it looks that well. i'd not choose anything else.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. I had the diamond cut wheels on my 458 and accidentally curbed one slightly (against some crazy trapezoidal sidewalk curb designed by the city of Monterey). It was a fairly mild abrasion but I was able to sand it out using a finger nail file and then buff and polish the metal back to where it looked totally fine. Technically, there was no longer any clear coat over it, but it was never any problem.

With a fully painted wheel, sometimes repainting / matching a small area can really be difficult. With the diamond cut wheel, the job ended up being simple and I just did it at home myself in a few hours of messing around in the garage.

So perhaps that's something to factor into the decision.

Definitely black calipers. Not a fan of the red/yellow Ronald McDonald look.

Of those two wheel options I'd say diamond. Not feeling Grigio Corsa matching the calipers or car colour.

If you insist on Rosso Corsa, you should do the metallic version. It is not a strong metallic, but it adds a lot of depth and with a car that has so many curves it also reduces the flattening regular RC often causes.

If you're not fully set on Rosso Corsa, look at Rosso Coburn and Rosso F1 2007. They are very "Ferrari Red", but bring out the shape a lot better.

Thank you all; I'll go for Diamond + black calipers + sport exhaust.

What do you guys think about stitching in a nero interior? Almost every car I see has either red or yellow.
Anyone left it just black or maybe grey (grigio charo)?

With a black interior I personally prefer either black stitching or very dark grey. Dark blue can also look pretty sharp sometimes, especially with certain metallic body colors. Keep in mind that any sort of contrasting stitching up on the dash will reflect into the windshield [in some lighting conditions] while driving. That can be sort of annoying at times. If you have the option, I always feel like adding black stitching up on the dash - irregardless of what you do with the rest of the stitching - is a rather nice touch and shows a bit of forethought and sophistication.

Yeah, I guess it just boils down to what you like. I prefer subtle and elegant over loud and flashy.

I tend to find that Rosso Bordeaux stiching actually works with Nero and RC. It does not clash as itis too different, but it still ties in nicely. It is also dark enough to remain subtle and elegant.

I would like to think people spec their car RC because they love the colour and not being cheap because its a no cost colour. BUT if you like RC be aware it WLL look flat a certain angles. Its a solid colour and that will always be the case with solid colours.

I love RC and was so excited that they released the RCM with the model release of the 488 GTB. Its a cheap option about 7 k ? in the US. IMO a must. It will be RC colour but always shiny. There are dearer colours of red but they are not RC.

Ive never been into the red/yellow caliper thing . For me its silver. OH BTW the cheap roof head lining is so cheap and shouldn't have been on a car this dear.

Again you are correct. Most will go red stitching on black. To similar to Japanese cars. I wanted Black interior all leather everywhere. But to make the patterns stand out went white stitching. Love it.

Not sure if you are a carbon liker ? Im not. But if you are and have a lot inside the car cool . But if the only carbon is the steering wheel because you want the LEDS, note you can have LEDs with a leather wheel.

If your seats are electric consider leather backs and also leather roof.

I did not say anything about being cheap. I just suggested the RCM as I think it is worth considering with the shape of the modern cars.

On the 488, I prefer the carbon trim option around the rear tail lights. I happened to be at my dealer when he was helping a customer with the spec of his 488 (actually a gift for his wife) The sales specialist pointed out this carbon option.

Rob , I happen to agree with you as well. I opted for the “free” rims and will decide on something different after my car arrives.

Saw this video with Diamond cut on Yellow calipers ... You can be the judge, not feeling it myself.

Yellow callipers/shields are pleasing to my eye, but I think this car looks quite complicated due to dual tone wheels, the carbon splitter and the contrast interior.
