I think he's depressed. That post crash interview was pathetic.

and we potentially have another year of this misery. I feel for Sainz who must be a worried man indeed.

Apparently, there is something prestigious driving for Ferrari. At the moment, I can't see it.

Why is Vettel still driving for Ferrari? He's not scoring points, not helping them with "strategy" whatever that is, not helping in development, and Aston Martin probably occupies larger portion of his tiny brain than Ferrari. Ferrari would be better off giving one of their future prospects some seat time than letting a boneheaded has been continue spinning and crashing their cars.

Mclaren and Renault are not letting drivers go early. I think Ferrari would like to not see Vettel wasting their time and money on cars that need repair. Vettel is not at all what he thinks he is. How long ago was his last title. He can now be a paid race driving car salesman for an egotistical billionaire. What a way to start the literal end of his career. We should not forget he had 1 offer to drive next year. 1.

Ferrari offered no contract at all to him. Yes he is so marketable. Does anyone think he will gain speed over the course of this year and into next with a new car?? Racing Cheat is now 4th or 5th on the grid. They are NOT at all pushing Mercedes lol

This will be a fun start tomorrow!

Verstappen must look in his mirrors

It means that Max Verstappen has to start the match from the second place and that is not ideal on paper. It is the dirty side of the track and in Sochi this means that there really is no grip. Because of the long run to the first corner you can lose a lot of places.

Drivers who will want to take advantage of this are Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo. Bottas and Ricciardo are on the favourable side of the straight and Perez, just like the other two, has a car with an excellent top speed.

He’s not worried. I would expect Ferrari will be in pretty good shape after the winter.

tRacing Point, now that they’ve made their own developments and probably not using Merc data seem to be falling back, Merc engine and all—so no guarantees McL will go better with Merc engine. Renault engine seems pretty handy as witnessed by factory team resurgence.

At least he gets a proper company car...I'd insist on an 812 GTS and Pista Spider...

Really? With the engine freeze rules extended another year I don't see how any improvement is possible.

You realize Seb did a huge favor to Ferrari and MS's record of most wins in F1. When Seb crashed and triggered the red flag he ruined Lewis's lap and forced him on to the wrong tires for the start of the race. One more week without Lewis achieving 91 wins is another week when Ferrari and MS's record stands as the all time most wins in F1 for a driver. All Seb has to do for the rest of the season is find more ways to screw up Lewis's qualifying.

Watching Seb picking up the ferrari spoiler was for me a good and sad image of his reality at ferrari.
But, yes, Seb did a huge favor to Verstapen.
My money for start is with Ricciardo.

Sainz and the rest of the field did no one any favors today including themselves.
They had a chance to make tomorrow very difficult for Hamilton. Sainz was inP3 at the red flag and restarted the session ahead of Hamilton. All he had to do was holdup Hamilton. Epic fail there. Now Hamilton goes on to pole. Sainz would of been starting in P3 and Leclerc would of moved on to Q3
    Bad strategy all around.

Engine evolution is allowed for 2021 and car can be upgraded using a token system.

About the engine, Binotto said this:

“In the last five years they have built a car close to Mercedes, which allowed us to fight for a world title,” Binotto said. “Next season the car will be an evolution of this year, but there are opportunities. The engine for 2021 is brand new and has already been tested many times at the factory, we're counting on that.”

We can hope Binotto is able to make improvement possible.
