^ red just looks so right on it.
So they didn’t bother to address the issue adequately either. Can make one wonder what other shortcomings/-cuts car has.

did all daytonas come from the factory with a license plate holder already mounted or was it in the cardboard box with other accessories? were the mounting holes predrilled? Image Unavailable, Please Login
When was the last time your heater hoses were replaced ? Hopefully not more than 10-15 years ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Preparing for judging (or smog check ) with few inaccurate bits & pieces present, but maybe "they" won't notice and it'll pass. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, but I too have fair amount, including couple of complete, fully rebuilt/reconditioned/restored sets.

Not sure it’s “missing” anything or as much as it has some incorrect pieces for both “early” & “late” (Daytona) setups, but thank you for playing. OTOH, this was a pump I rebuilt/serviced on a clients car many, many years ago and I just ran into the photo while researching my files for something else.

Made mistake on her birthday month, which is not November. Perhaps I have too many of these ladies in my lair right now to keep track of all their personal details. Heck, I can’t remember my wife’s BD, even after knowing her for 10 years already (thankfully, she’s understanding).
Thanks Dave. I guess that’s one way to look at it, although sometimes I feel like these 4 wheeled "ladies" got me wrapped around their little details too tightly and my head spinning to too many directions. OTOH, I think there might be worse ways to spend ones days and life ? But I do miss live Opera and Theatre, not mention nice dining and travel experiences.
As mentioned by Mathew and confirmed by Malcolm, these are one of several different/revised bumper mounting positions implemented during 356 GTB/4 production timeline of nearly 4.5 years. Many cars, especially those originally made for U.S.-market, have had their bumper mountings modified over the years/decades to align them closer to the body/grille opening, i.e. similar to the "original" design.
