No 3.6 or 4.3 liter V8 will ever sound like a V12 formula One car, no matter what you do to it. Period. I think the last mid-engine V8 Ferrari to produce an incredible sound was the F355. 360s and F430s just sound good, but not incredible IMO.
Yes 100% 355 the ultimate, 360 with 430 box h flow cats open valves epic. Would not change my exhaust for anything.
Got an s-line with factory v2 headers on my 430 and it sounds heavenly - high pitched and lots of pops and burbles
I believe s line are making a valved system so you’ll have the best of both worlds. I’d say it’s only 20% louder than an unplugged stock system anyway, just a higher pitch
Agree S line alone is not too loud unless WOT at 8k rpm. It really just corrects the pitch.... as would Inconel Kline X pipe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can’t get the high pitch, but this is mine with only Fabspeed headers and vacuum lines disconnected. Flyby at COTA.
I guess the S-Line does sound pretty awesome. The question I now have is if those specific headers are needed to make this sound?
there seems to be some disagreement on 4-1 headers vs 4-2-1 headers and the sound they make. You will never get the 355 sound out of the larger displacement engines. Its just physics really. Unless you run the exhaust through a very restrictive tuned trumpet to get the sound desired.
