If you have your vehicle on a club permit in Victoria through the FCA, take note of the email sent to all members today. A screenshot is attached of the VicRoads updates.

Additionally, you must have your details current, including images of your car, if you have not done so already by uploading them to the clubs database if your vehicle is permitted through the FCA. You can read about it here:

    https://ferrariclub.com.au/?page_id=1878

The cut off for this is October 31 before the database is cleaned up.

This is a VicRoads requirement to satisfy the terms of the club permit system.

The onus is on you to update it.

One aspect of the system here which is beyond my comprehension is the absence of stamp duty on club permitted vehicles.

On vehicles with a market value (Not purchase price) over $150,000 it equates to 9%, which is horrific. The minimum amount is 4.2% on vehicles under $68,740.

The club permit system here is great. Apart from no stamp duty, it's either a 45 ($117:60) or 90 ($191:90) day permit, at any time of the day or night, including LHD on a rolling 25 year age. For each renewal after the initial permit you don't pay the $38 plate fee.

Wadareyatalking about? This looks like situation normal to me.
    https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/registration/fees/concession/special-interest/restrictions

As I understand NSW and Vic can go wherever whenever they like as long as they fill in a logbook and adhere to the time limits of their registration periods,ie 45 or 90 days for Vic and 60 days for NSW....I don't know what the other state's have for offer.

From a rego perspective, true enthusiasts are members of a car club, the rest are members of the public driving some old H.O.S. and not entitled to any special rego considerations.
The states / territories only have Concessional / historic registration is because car clubs lobbied for it.

Yes, but if you have more than one brand, means more than one club.

Also, up here, a GG is not possible.

Silly signature here to annoy KIAI

Yep,the spastic Qld system wouldn't have allowed my 365 to do any of the GG's or GAD if I still had it on Qld club.

Currently the FCA in all other states will also provide historic rego for your non Ferrari, provided you already have a Ferrari on historic rego.
GG is not a club event, so your Qld historic registered car would not be eligible. However, a historic rego car from VIC, NSW ( and soon ACT ) could participate in a Qld GG under their 45 /60 day rule, provided your Premier opened the borders.
In any case, do any Qld historic Ferrari's participate in the GG ?. I thought you all ran recent rice burners ?

American fibreglass is on NSW club rego, so can be used, and no one cares about non club members driving a VW. Problem solved.

VIC system is great, except that the state has been in lockdown for a large part of 2020. I guess you could sit in your car in the garage and go "brum brum " and pretend you're going somewhere..... But you don't need a registered car to do that anyway.
