You should have two caps on top of your compressor. Look where the two hoses feed into the top of the compressor.

Low pressure is the larger line/larger cap.

Both lines and both caps are the same size.

Look for the hose that is connected higher. That is your low pressure hose.

Post a picture of your compressor and I'll circle it. The low side line connects at the 12 o'clock position on the compressor. The high side connects around 2 o'clock (standing at the rear of the car looking forward).

There should be some markings (usually cast lettering) on the back end (or maybe top) of AC compressor housing to identify the function of each fitting -- something like DIS (Discharge = high side) and SUC (Suction = low side).

It would be a lot simpler to hook up a set of gauges. You have a 50-50 chance of getting it right the first time. It won't blow the gauges. If it is out of R-12 then you have look at the back of the compressor to sort out which line is which. When you do, mark the suction/low pressure line with a blue marker.

Issue solved. The charging port is the port closest to the center if the motor. I had to loosen and move rearward the coolant overflow reservoir to connect to the port.
