Car play is worth having. Some forum members spend thousands upgrading the non car-play head unit because the original nav and audio is so dated.
As for the cabon, don't dismiss the effect it has on the interior ambience. I have all the carbon trim in mine and I don't think I could go back to the standard trim now that I've lived with the carbon.

In summary, get the more expensive car. The extra free service, peace of mind for you about having all the F stamps in the book and the nicer interior and infotainment make it worth the extra - why not see if you can haggle the price down?

I tried to get the price down but, they didn't budge much, there seems to be a recent resurgence of interest in them in the UK. I'm kind of firmly of the belief the 458 and the ff are the cars to have, everything after just seem too refined and insulated for my liking. I have an f8 on the way but not sure how long I'll hang on to that given the way I'm feeling about F cars becoming too comfortable

I agree with you. I just drove the F8 spider and I think the car is made for lower general public tolerance for true sports car. Good or bad is subjective, but in my opinion, I think my Alfa 4c spider is 10x more raw than the F8 and I don't think that is a good thing either for my age. How to sell maximum number of cars for people who can afford it while remaining the allure of Ferrari is definitely proven too hard to do, given the new direction of F8.

I do think 458 definitely is something of unique in the history of Ferrari as well, for those who are in the knows. For those who just come and go, it does not really matter to begin with. It is an event that I turn on the engine everytime. It is just perfect for my age without the racing seat.

FF and Lusso is a great family sports car. Love driving to Vegas in a FF with the family. Just valet and battery are my two gripes.

The way I modified the FF now I don’t think I’d do Cali to Las Vegas in it unless I cruise and don’t rev it up which kinda defeats the purpose [emoji23]
I get why they made the lusso softer so it’s a true GT but still Ferrari is too far behind tech wise for me to consider it(and that price point!!) .Puro sangue should address that.

I just feel the ferrari magic is gone with anything after 2016, I think the cars produced between 2011 and 2016 are the absolute pinnacle of reliability and the ferrari passion that the brand is known for. I'm going to eventually buy one of each model produced at that time bar the cali so I can enjoy that special moment in the companies history

He should have set the reserve at $120k. As for PTU stress, I have the powertrain warranty
