If my memory serves correct, I bought this from Artsd on F-chat back in May with around 39,500 on it. I have to admit I've had a little anxiety about hitting the 40K mark, but guess what, the car still runs like a top with 40,001 on the clock! :D

Nice! I hit 40k about 7 months ago. Think I might have 44k on the clock now. Loving every mile!

My 6MT Spyder just coming up to 48k miles and runs like a dream. Has anyone any idea what the max mileage anyone has seen on one of these?

I had no anxiety about passing 40k miles last year. It actually rolled over the 40k interval during its annual service, when I had asked the shop to address a CEL for "warm-up catalyst efficiency". I didn't realize "warm-up catalyst" meant "pre-cat" or I would have freaked out-- I've learned a lot since then. I got the car back with that CEL supposedly addressed.

    That pre-cat failed at 40,400. D'oh!

Not going to say that was a pleasant experience. At one point I was ready to just sell the car and move on.

Now I have the car back with every functional issue addressed. All maintenance is current, the engine has been thoroughly looked-over and rebuilt, and all known weak points like the heat exchanger have been proactively addressed.

While this was an unfortunate episode, I love the car more than ever. Even after a two-hour drive it's hard to put the car back in the garage. Ready to add another 40k miles.

2001 360. My only "to dos" are to refurbish/replace the cloudy headlights, and replace the windscreens behind the head rests.

that is awesome (and a beauty of a car BTW). I have ~21K on my 2007 F430 Spider, and drive her every chance I get (and ALWAYS top down....) :)

    Enjoy and be safe
