My ecu type is E.U version not US.
And parts number 178765
Question.
There are some ecu on ebay but parts numbers are different from mine.
It doent matter parts number for clone ecu
And type US , Eu?

 

No, it doesn't matter. They all share the same hardware configuration.
You can buy a different part number and load the firmware you want.

Some one said he did clone ferrari 360 softwear to alfa romeo ecu without any fault. And he said
He Use that ecu for many years.

Pretty sure the 360 ecu is the only me7 die substrate variant that has 6 line drivers. As such, there aren’t any other cars you can borrow an ecu from and do a straight clone job on.

Hey Trev, Need some help with some of our 360 challenge cars, mostly need a virgin challenge rom with immo off.

 

Sadly there are no readily available inexpensive alternatives to 360 ecu's which can be re-flashed with stock firmware. Its a myth. All the 4 cylinder cars never had fully populated skews (to save costs no doubt) so components are simply missing on these other ecu's so they don't work.

I have been working hard on a solution. Its not ready yet as all of this work requires significant change to the underlying code and therefore takes time to develop.

 

Its true both EU and US firmware don't differentiate in terms of hardware. However if anyone reading this has never done it before, you need to do more homework, its not quite as simple as just cloning the firmware.

Why? Well the ecu's also store data such as mileage and immobilizer pairing in the eeprom as well as having flash. Most cloning tools don't support a full firmware clone so you will loose your correct data if you just clone the firmware alone. Further complicating this is that some tools which virginize aren't compatible with the 360 and can erase your important data such as odometer mileage covered. This may or may not be important in the future for Ferrari Classiche certification for example.

Hi Trev,

I would like to send you my two 360 Modena ECUs for a reflash to CS firmware. My is F1 gear box with TCU updated by Eric355. I have upgraded both air boxes to accomodate the larger CS MAFs. I have a challenge exhaust fitted without valves but intending to swap with a CS exhaust with valves exhaust pipes later. Please send a PM so that I can send you both ECUs for upgrades.

The amount of work involved is huge and we all have other things we need to do too. I assure you this work is ongoing and many many people have already enjoyed the benefits of our work on their cars. Some of the latest results we are getting are mind blowing so watch this space!

Also I'm trying to setup something so someone can help from USA so that should be sooner rather than later. Sorry for the delays but this isn't some huge mega money funded thing and nor will it ever be.
