It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Chris Kerrison on Friday 12th October. Chris was the quintessential Gentleman Driver, polite, self effacing and endowed with huge charm. In Ferrari terns he raced 3 TT winners, 2735, 3505 and 4399, as well as Astons, Porsches and Lolas. He was best known for owning 2735, the 1961 Moss TT winner. After Robin Benson, his co-driver for the 1962 TT, spun it at Madgwick into the already crashed Surtees GTO and Jim Clark Zagato, he sent the car to Diogo for a re-body. Chris then campaigned the car for several years across Europe with some measure of success for a privateer. I was fortunate to meet him a decade ago and I wish I had had more time with him to listen to his tales and just enjoy the warmth and humour he exuded. Condolences pass to Cathy and his extended family and friends.
