I have my GT2 but I am not taking it out as much as I maybe should. But it's that I think it is becoming to expensive to drive.

What does that mean to expensive to drive? It’s not like it’s a McLaren F1!

I don't get this. If you are keeping the car what's it matter how many miles it has on it? If you are worried about it depreciating you should just sell it now and put the money into the bank.

I am just afraid that some crackhead is gonna get me on the road and hit me

If you know McKenna, you must be in Southern California... LA/Pasadena area.

Not afraid of miles. It already has 15k. I am worried about an idiot on the road. You know how many times I get d........s in their Nissan, Infinity, Lexus, Mustang, Camaros, Charger and Challenger on the road trying to get me to race. Sometimes I even see them coming from the distance on the rearview mirror speeding to catch up with me on a 15 full of traffic. And thank God it is White and can kind of hide itself. If it were red, green, yellow, it could stand out even more

Driving any of these cars on city roads or amongst traffic will attract attention so the the Gt2 is not immune there. It all boils down to where you drive the car keeping in mind that (all) these cars are better suited to a track or a back-country/mountain type environment where the traits can be enjoyed by the driver.

A white 997 gt2 is unlikely to attract the same level of attention as a red - or any color - F8 in a domestic type environment so it is less likely you will escape curiosity or challenges even in a grey or white F8. It just means you need to the Gt2 out and about into the right environments and when you do take it out in domestic type environments - as you would do in your F8 - that you exercise the necessary cautions which go with this territory as you can't stop curiosity or Fw behavior from occurring.

I do exactly that. I usually drive through backroads and mountains/canyons. I have direct access to backroads that take me to my usual driving spot up the mountains of Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear Lake and LA Crest. Anything other than that, I have to take freeways to get to other canyons or drives, including PCH.

I live in a similar set of circumstances and always avoid main arterial roads or freeways when driving the toys. Although on occasion where freeway or domestic rds cant be avoided in the course of accessing the more interesting rds I always keep ahead of the general flow making it hard to impossible for the curious to get themselves close enough to become a problem. You can always tell when someone behind you is trying to get close which means you just need to work it a bit harder to keep them at bay or at a distance you are comfortable with. I recall in my grey 488 that car attracted a lot of interest. The red GT2 anything in front of me on a freeway just clears off out of the way as i'm approaching - that car gets huge respect for some odd reason. I only wish the Ferrari got the same level of respect. With the Ferrari its as if some take pleasure in blocking you or go out of their way to get in your way. It's bloody annoying which usually leaves no alternative other than doing crazy things to get around the Fw's.

What I love about buddy and makes me joyful, other than his car, is how genuinely excited and happy he is with it.

It reminds me what a jaded spoiled jackass I can be ... and I need that calibration every once in a while.

Cheers to the inner buddy in all of us! :)

I think that is who he is. Take the beard and he will lose his strength. I couldn't keep it for work related reasons after COVID started. I have it again, but it is very tamed. Soon to go again, I think.

Not Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear Lake. LA Crest closes usually for landslides. Hasn't been a fire lately up there, thankfully.
