What a story! I really wanted to find the person who designed and just thank them for building something so unique. Unfortunately I won’t have the chance as he passed away two years ago, likely the reason why it was available. I’m also wondering what else he designed. I’m sure there were a few others from his collection.

What a great story about your car now you know the history which is great, such a shame that the original owner has passed but the documentation of your car is with you for as long as you own your one off F12. Again A BIG CONGRATS!

Do you plan to put back OEM wheels ?

Those aftermarket rims ruin the whole car and are implying the whole car is an aftermarket project (Upholstery), while it's not the case.

Well as they say may his name be a blessing ז״ל

    Explains the low miles.

How did they have it in South Florida ?

    It’s an amazing spec.

My thoughts on reading the post - we are all just caretakers of these cars. Enjoy this special one and drive in this special TM in Good health.

Sorry, after reading the original post carrefully I do believe my message was rude, in fact at first I just watched the pics and didn't read the story. Technically my opinion is the same, but I don't want to sound rude in a thread that was about a man who realized his dream before passing away

    Cheers.

A second owner purchased it, drove it 200 miles and stuck it in a garage for a year. Lucky me!

Very nice car. But agree on the wheels. Back to OE. I would however find a set of the optional 5 spoke La F style wheels that was available for the F12. You don't see a lot of those.

Do you have a pic of them on an F12 or a part number? I was between the upgraded forged wheels or the tdf wheels right now. Might also consider an 812 wheel but regardless it needs to go with the matte paint so a polished wheel might be out.

I can’t see the article very well and may have missed it but where is there mention of the wheels being aftermarket? All I can find is commentary to the effect that the wheels are ‘20 inch forged wheels’.

Sure, they aren’t standard F12 wheels but surely that’s the whole point of TM?

The wheels are 21/22 monotecs. It looks like the original owner had the OEM ones but no idea where they are now.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying. It seems odd that the article makes specific mention of 20” forged wheels but is accompanied by photos of the car fitted with 21/22 wheels (I did think the rubber looked a bit anaemic but didn’t want to contradict the article!)

Obviously there will be ride and handling compromises to keeping the monotecs but if they represent the vision of the first owner then why not keep them?

I totally agree but the roads around me think otherwise ;) I have a feeling one good pothole would throw a wrinkle in things.

Impossible. TM never does any technical alteration of the car.

The only Ferraris that have bespoke wheels are the One off projects, but the size of the wheels remain identical

Such 22 oversized rims are absolutely impossible to be from ferrari factory. No way.

Very cool! Keep documenting maintenance and everything: it goes a long way!
My ff isn’t as special but I have all the service from new and did the same on my Testarossa. It feels great to piece the puzzle together !

Yeah he wanted to do vents on it and remove the door handles but that would have moved it from Tailor Made (custom interior, paints etc) to Special Projects which is where you can alter the physical vehicle dynamics (for a hefty price).

Oh I like those a lot. First time I've ever seen those! Normally they are accompanied by center lock hubs!

    Absolutely.

Those wheels are from the Ferrari accessories catalog. Ultra rare. They don't have center lock hubs, you must confuse them with other wheels

they have been mounted on this unique F12 to celebrate 50 years of Singapore’s independence

I know it doesn’t have center locks. The LaF does. I was saying that the design is normally seen only on LaF. That’s the LaF design

    Hey Eric,

Do you know what set of wheels came with the car when new? IF not send me the VIN and I can find out for you. That is a really great find on your part. Congrats and enjoy!
