    thanks
here is what I have found out so far
my car has already had the kit installed
and I have looked at other cars and it appears this kit has been installed on other cars as well
    so its a common issue/repair
mine is in the process of being repaired
will follow up with the forum on the results

Clyde- Looks like plenty of surface area so epoxy would probably work fine.

Some sources mention 35mm while others say 40mm. in any case I would recommend a drop of blue Loctite on the threads.

I put the kit in the system and it works fine
    Racambi makes it
    So far no issues
    It’s a poor design
The newer cars have a push button which is what this car needs

Clyde- Believe it or not, those reverse buttons wear out pretty quickly and there is quite a bit of traffic on the F430 and 599 forums about replacing them. Both the sticky guys provide them.

On the Superamerica and 612 with F1A, you can select 1st with the T lever, too, although that is not always a good idea.

Clyde- Nope, not kidding. Dave and Robbie both do good business selling improved R buttons. Probably made by the same folks that make the coating for our switches. The R buttons are made out of relatively soft rubber/vinyl and wear through fairly quickly.
