I plan to leave my GTS for a while and see what after market solutions come out for GPF. I don't want to be an early adopter and risk some half baked solution, especially since GPF seems to be more difficult to safely remove than the cats. Hopefully Novitec or another reputable brand will soon bring something out. For me, straight pipe or 100 cell cats are too loud (especially on cold start) so ideal would be something like 200 - 300 cell cats (without GPF)....

So Tommy Boy proved that you can hear a big difference definitely.
That means you must not ask for a production date - just listen to the car and you will know if it`s equipped with a GPF or not.
    It´s that easy!

I’ve got a May ‘20 build date 812, and for whatever it’s worth, my dealer confirmed that the car does not have GPF and you can definitely tell the sound difference in the two. I can also confirm that when you look into the tail pipes you do not see anything.

The car and the sound are absolutely fantastic.

    There is a remedy, chassis 257243 :)

Or any 812SF (in USA), none with GPF...

winter is arriving, likely the pre-owned marketplace will have new arrivals, call around to dealers, tell them what you are looking for...

Trouble is, I’m waiting on my 812 Superfast (sadly with GPFs, the last few to be built but spec’ed the way I want it). So it’s between an okay spec (new without GPFs) or live with GPFs (keeper spec since I ordered it). Anxiety!

OK, I guess I missed that part, that you have an 812SF inbound, but you nor the dealer has seen yet?

I suggest you wait, maybe it does not have GPFs, what are your engine's MODIS codes?

If you do not know, have your dealer look up -- the MODIS codes are presented when the order was first opened by the dealer, so maybe you already know? If not, get them (dealer can open the order and look), if does not include "EURO" then you should not have any GPFs.

It is 1 of the final 3 to be built, and it will be built in 2021.

MODIS codes will confirm what the factory will do...don't lose hope :)

I am okay accepting reality that it will most likely get GPFs. I can’t imagine the production logistics to build a few more 812 Superfast with different engine code (I do dream and hope though!)

It's simple, just contact your dealer, look up your order's MODIS codes, now you know...and the logistics are not an issue...remember, plenty of 812SF for EU were being made with GPF same time non-GPF 812SFs were being made for USA...

Can someone comment if if this a GPF car? The seller said it is, however I have doubts. 2019 november production.

COC says it has 111 dB noise while some other cars have less.

2019 shouldn't be. Mine was early 2020 and no GPF.

As far as I know, US spec cars received GPF later than EU cars, so I am still unsure
My local dealer didn't find GPF connectors looking under the good, but they don't have a lot of experience (just opened). Ferrari backend system offers them both GPF and non GPF downpipes for this car o_O

Visually it is EXTREMELY EASY to see if a particular 812 has GPF:
