    Has anyone replaced the leather strap in boot (trunk) on passenger side that holds tools?Someone said 2 days & whole inside of boot has to come out to put new strap in.Looks a lot simpler.Thank you up front for any feedback or experience!

    Happens all the time. Just vibrational wear and tear.
    Bring it to your dealer and they will fix it.

    Algar told me (when mine broke) that they break all the time- only takes a little pull.

    Baically it's ground up leather,mixed with some type of glue to make a slurry. This is baked, cut into strips and made into whatever. Buy some real leather strips dyed to match,save your buckle etc. then if you like take it to your dealer for installation or do it yourself.

    Dealer said need car for day1/2 to 2 days boot completely taken out to reinstall new one, seems excessive has anyone replaced strap? Can share experience!

    Do a search in the F430 section. Several of us have changed out the junk OEM straps to real leather. Removing the tub was easy, there's just lots of Allen head screws. I had a shoe store make me new leather straps and use my old buckles. They came out great.

    Did so in my 15 458. Used screws instead of pop rivets. Straps were taken to saddle shop to use the stock buckles. Saddle shop explained to me regarding how the slurry leather is made & why they can market as leather.
