    Yeah the bracelet is SWEET.
Dials are a dime a dozen and very easy to source. If I liked the piece I wouldn’t let the dial stop me since finding a new one and installing it is no big deal. Personally I’m thinking the same watch with a gold Tapestry dial. That would be my “oh yeah babe”.

Good point on the dial, thanks. I hadn't thought of it that way. Yeah, thinking this is my Vegas watch. Lol.

The charm of the watch is that is does have a green dial if original, and not one I see often....that's a keeper and if not, I'm a buyer! Cheers

Yes, factory dial. I actually asked to keep for a day or so to decide, see it on the wrist at night, etc. Funny thing is, when I asked, he had a look of, do I really want to sell? Lol.

It's a talking piece for sure versus my other 8-9 Rolex's. If priced correctly you will NOT go wrong! As I've recently stated I'm tired of seeing the same Rolex's when I'm out and about. Love it and hope you buy it! Cheers

Send it down to Alex at ABC in Los Angeles and tell him to swap dials. Keep the green one for the future and you’ll be good to go. If I could can I ask how much the seller wants, 10? 12? 14?

TBD, he's interested in one of my watches.
To be exact, this one. Which he's test driving. Gotta say the AP did look a bit too big for him.

Everybody is different but I’d trade that one for the 18038 in a heartbeat.

Yes, while I love the AP, which is actually big for my wrist, the 40 is entirely different. Convince me more...lol

Ok, BUT ONLY TO HELP YOU, here is what I will do for you. Out of the goodness of my heart, when you get tired of it I’ll allow you to send it to me. I’ll wear it for a month or two and post a bunch of pictures here. When you see them all you’ll start missing it. I’ll keep it another week or so just to make sure you REALLY miss it, then I’ll send it back.

Nothing special, 997 4CS. Here's a pic of her getting a bath, might be the only pic I have. I did upgrade the exhaust, which my neighbor's hate. :D

Today a solid 18kt rose gold chronograph made in Switzerland in the 1940's during the height of WWII. The case is hallmarked by case maker #128 which is Jung & Cie from La Chaux-de-Fonds. They were registered with the Swiss Case Makers Assoc on July 21st of 1934. It has a Landeron 54 movement.

Who had enough money during the war to afford a solid gold watch? I sure would like to know where and how it traveled during the 75 years prior to it coming to me.
