FERRARI 340 MM Barchetta , 1953 in perfect conditions. The car was bodied Vignale, later in the 1960 began Touring bodied because of an accident crash. The car has been bodied Touring under the Ferrari Factory authorization. This is one of the 7 cars 340 MM Ferrari produced, only. The engine, the differential, the gear - box, all those parts are the original one. TWO OWNERS ONLY!

It may be the next owner is a member of this forum and.....here we are discussing it. Job done.

Ebay is more than an auction site.

    Cheers

Real and current owner is Dr. Marino Auteri. Never owned by Emilio Gnutti. Besides that it is a four owner car, not a two owner car, as described wrongly on ebay. Tom Cole (1st), Nigel Cole (2nd), Mario Camellini (3rd), Marino Auteri (4th).
Ebay is clearly the wrong forum to sell such an important car. And the "agent" is not really authorized, he's just fishing, as usual. I have been in regular and constant touch with Dr. Auteri since more than five years. Several family members of Dr. Auteri are involved too. In 2002 the car was also offered by Stefano Paracchi in Italy. 0284 AM was rebodied by Carrozzeria Fantuzzi in 1969 to a Touring Barchetta look-a-like, along with Ferrari chassis 0176 ED for Guido Artom and 0264 M for Pierre Bardinon who shared the costs for the body buck.

Let's see how much false information is in the seller's description:

    Body builder

    Number of owners

    Number of 340 MMs

And did the Ferrari factory really authorize the rebody?

Hi Marcel, thanks for the updates. What year did Mario Camellini acquire 0284AM from Nigel Cole and what year did he sell it to Marino Auteri? Thanks very much

As I recall, cars from that era all used 2 ear knock offs.
In the picture, the fronts are 3-ear but the rears apprear to be two ear.
    Just curious.
    Comments?

    Hahahaha!
And what please is a "Vanigale"?

So that Austrian guy was in the Ferrari Museum in Maranello (or did he just steal some photos from the internet?), took pix of the rebodied and restored 0284 AM and now wants to sell that car owned by Italian collector C. F.?
    "20'000 kms"? "Grade 1"?
    What a joke..........

Even if the car was indeed available for sale, 9.5 million Euros would be a bit steep, no?

update - he claimed to be authorized by the owner to sell the car exclusively. As i asked for more information and pics the conversation stopped. No one in the Austrian Ferrari scene knows this guy, so i think its a simple fraud.

    See post #16.
    C. F., the current owner purchased it February 2006 (in a package deal also containing a 275 GTB and a Daytona plus a Lancia Aurelia Spider B24 America).
