I think you were confusing my suggestion for the 1/12th Top Marques 250 SWB. Although the FPPM wheels are scaled to 15 inch and the SWB had 16 inch they still look very convincing. I am almost sure some of the SEFAC full race SWB's used 15 inch wheels based on period photos. Reference the 1961 Nurburgring #60 SEFAC prototype 61 comp(the car I just did using the TM SWB). They look like 15's to me.

New from Ottomobile in 1/12th. They say they wont do anymore Lancia Stratos models in 1/12th for some reason. GP Replicas are also doing several more versions of their 1/12th P4, wich is a nice model in general.

Image Unavailable, Please Login For those of us who can't afford the Hiro kit and / or don't have the ability to build one, I ordered, and just received the GP Replicas 300P4 #24 car and while I'll admit it's not perfect it displays beautifully and is finely finished, I love it!

That is a very nice model, maybe the second best Ferrari after the 250 Lusso in 1/12th scale.

The Cobra looks surprisingly good being that it is coming from GT Spirit. I might even buy one or two. Alpine A110 also looks very good, but not my type, and I generally stay away from 1:8 scale. As for the 1:12 Mercedes Gullwing... It looks very nice…BUT… I much prefer the one made by Premium Classixxs, which is a better model, and has much more and much better detailing with many working features. Also, Schuco announced the same model as a re-release of the Premium Classixxs model with all the extra detail, and is in production now. So...why on earth would anyone buy the GT Spirit model?! Only possible reason I can see would be for the color and basic non-Rudge wheels.

If you closely at the instrument panels photo inserts on the Cobra and the Gullwing, the gauges are nothing but decals on a flat surface; that's deal breaker for me, unacceptable for a $1,000 Cobra despite it's alluring appearance.

I know GT Spirit always cheaps out on the gauges in their 1:18 and 1:12 models, and I thought I noticed the same on the big Cobra. It never ceases to amaze me how GT Spirit continues to miss, fail, and not understand things like this! But this model still looks a lot better than the same scale one by Agora Models, which has a lot of working features, but suffers with overall accuracy and quality detail... the Agora piece looks like a big toy.

I figure if I do get the GT Spirit Cobra, I'll improve the dash myself, which I've done before, but resent having to do.

Meh...the Kyosho 1:12 427 Coba's good (and large) enough for me, along with the GMP 289s.

Beware those that are interested in the Top Marques 308 GT4 Dino in blue. In pictures on the internet the colour appears darker than in reality. It is more like a Blu Medio than a Blu Sera. It's a nice colour, but not the one I was looking for.

I have a red one and the fit can very. Mine was not as bad but if you have a Dremel type tool you can grind off the underside slightly to make it fit, or go farther and grind the whole bonnet underside down to a more correct scale thickness. That is hard to do without damaging the paint. I like the shape of that SWB, but it has some things that need to be corrected. Get a set of FPPM 1/12th wire wheels off ebay from Portugal. They are 15 inch(to scale) but still look pretty good. They did use what looks like 15 inch wheels at a few 1962 races I have seen pictures from, mainly on SEFAC cars.
