I put Continental Extreme Contact tires on the rear of my 550, and although I don't drive it really hard I am very satisfied with them except they do tend to flat spot if not used often, but that only last about 2 miles.

What I'm running. Very happy with them overall. Would buy again. I love the Michelins and to be honest couldn't tell you if these are "worse" but comfort wise they're an improvement I'd say. They look great as well.

Eric- I would use another car unless you enjoy trying to get rid of the salt on your steel chassis. The Michelins work fine in light snow in an emergency if you take it easy and let them warm up. Not too well in slush or freezing rain, which prevents them from getting warm.

With the Michelin PSS, you are 100% right.

I drive them on the 550 and on the 599.

Image Unavailable, Please Login Not really planning to drive in the snow but I will drive on clear roads in colder temps. I think the all season conti extremes (y rated) will be fine and more usable at those temps. This isn’t a 10/10ths car for me (my 911 hot rod is) and if I drive it as much as I hope to, I’ll be ready for summer tires in a few years...

    my snow car...

Any issues with tram-lining or the steering fighting you with the 265 fronts? I was debating between 255 and 265 fronts on my 9in wheels.

I don't get that with 305's r-compounds on the front. I have a feeling the steering ECU has something to do with it as my Viper (315 r-compound up front) required constant attention and input.

I bumped the width up to get more grip from the front and given how much weight the 550/575 have to throw around, the wider the better.

Nothing significant that I've noticed or required wrestling of the steering at all.
