A breakout box according to descriptive text - I think its so you can plug it in and plug your normal connector into it and then be able to read the values of the pins easily https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/ferrari/95971310?id=103647
The Breakout box is used to diagnose electrical issues and components by just plugging it in between the connector of a certain component. In this case, the F1 gearbox module. The little holes represent each pin the the connector. Simply using a digital volt meter to check voltage and so on. I would actually love one of these breakout boxes for the engine computer for a F355
