How many US 2010s were there? Wasn't it a very small number?

I remember reading somewhere that there were 350 OTO’s made worldwide with 50 in the usa. However, I don’t remember if there was a breakout by year and regions.

OTO were only available 08-11, and if I remember correctly all 09-11 cars were OTO while some 08 were not in the usa

Kinda wish there was a registry for us to access......

My OTO was built in April of 2008. It has the second lowest s/n of the US OTOs I could find.
My guess is that about 2/3 of 2008 cars were OTOs.
    That means:
    2008 61
    2009 29
    2010 26
    2011 1

    total 117

That seems correct. What is your serial number? Mine is 161202, which is pretty low but nowhere near the lowest.

It looks like he was rear ended (as opposed to losing control and backing into an obstacle). That is so frustrating because you can be as careful as anything and still get your car damaged.

No exaggeration, in the past 11 years my wife was rear ended twice and me once by people on their cell phone. Fortunately all 3 were relatively low speed so no one was injured. I used to put 2 to 4 thousand miles on my Harley every summer season, now I'm lucky if I put 400 miles on. It is just too dangerous with all these clowns on their cell phones.

    I found it. 171991. March 2010. 6810 miles.

Seems definitely rebuildable, but I'm not sure if it's economical to do that. Motor looks fine.

19" wheels were actually an option on the OTO.

Would make a handsome barchetta. At this point just get a new trunk and a Sawzall!

I'm not sure "barchetta" would be the right word for what results, but it would be quite pleasant. Cabriolet seems more appropriate.

Interesting that the air bags didn’t deploy. Even though it is a rear ender I would have thought they would have gone off.

I think with the sensors behind the front bumper the air bags won't go off unless the front bumper is really pushed in.

When I was rear ended ('95 Infiniti Q45a) I was stopped in a line of traffic. The kid on his cell realized we were stopped at the last second. I saw him coming but there was nothing I could do. I stood on the brake but he pushed me into the SUV in front of me. The right front got crunched, but not enough to set off the air bag, thankfully.
