Dry but cold tomorrow. Should still favor RBR & (t)Racing Pointe. Cold weather has been Merc’s kryptonite this year (they struggled in one of the British GO’s iirc)

It's getting from bad to worse this season for Ferrari.

Today the Alfa were ahead of them.

They didn't get **** re-established here. They thanked us for watching Mothers Presents Formula 1 and some douchenozzle in a cheap mens wearhouse suit started shouting about football.

I've managed to maintain a satellite signal through FAR worse weather conditions than that. Maybe they should stop racing in the third world if that's gonna keep happening.

Unfair. Car sponsored by Best Water Technology takes pole on the wet...

I doubt if it was their fault. The international feed from the satellites is probably to blame.

Nice pace by the pink team. Max wins the race by over 30 seconds tomorrow.

I think that here (Atlanta) the feed was re-established after 4-5 minutes, before Q3 started.

Leclerc was reasonably quick in the dry. If it stays that way tomorrow, his drive through the field may be quite entertaining.

Other than the mercs with two positions in between them no other team has more than a car to separate the two drivers. Shows car, setup and tyre strategy was still king

Of course, if the Ferrari doesn't work out, maybe he should switch to an eponymous tank. It might not be fast, but it could crush the opposition!:D

    B-Tsar.

Cold weather; 10 day old surface; turn 8.
Need another "tyre" option: Ice skate blades. :p

Alfa faster than Ferrari in the wet?
Well, my "examples" are a few decades out of date, but my GTV-6 was better balanced than my 328.
(Those fat tires on the back of the 328 make up for it being 200 lb tail-heavy. .... In the dry, at least.)
But when you have no traction, the Alfetta chassis was easier to control in a slide.

I forget if it was during P3 or Quali, but they ran a graphic that shows that Alfa improved their speed, over the year, far more than Ferrari has.

Well that was a highly entertaining quali!

It was also very strange. I’ve never seen a quali before that favoured some teams so strongly over others. If your car could get heat into the tyres quickly, then you had a massive advantage. That played into the hands of Tracing Point, RB, and Alfa big time. Then within those teams the stronger wet weather driver prevailed. Perez has never been a rain master, but stroll has shown us before that he has good pace in the wet. He made it count today and deservedly walked off with pole as Max blew is Q3 strategy and couldn’t get up to speed before running out of time.

Of course, today is somewhat immaterial as there are no points. So let’s see what happens tomorrow. Should be an excellent race because of the mixed up grid.

I totally agree with you, and that's rare! :D
Ferrari F1 should start from scratch. If they had balls, they'd skip season 2021 and start working on the 2022 car yesterday.

Amazing... Where as in many threads Hamilton is normally treated as a God, today, when he drove like a modest midfielder, no mentioning of good old Louise.
Apart from my post ("Shame on Hamilton,.."), 5 pages of 25 posts, = 125 posts ( :D) of Elton absence. The hype is already over, and he isn't WDC yet.
That's says everything about the beautiful world of believers he created around him.
