Here’s the Alfa I’ve lusted for....Junior Zagato, made in 1300cc or 1600cc flavor. I’ve always wanted a Zagato and this is about the most reasonably priced one. They’re just quirky enough to be interesting, but the power train was already proven and well developed.

They're gorgeous, sexy, sound right, fit right.......... Drive one first, IF you can find one to drive.

I got rid of mine in less than a year. It was even considered a "pretty good one" by a shop East of Dallas that specialized in Italians. I thought it just needed a few little things addressed, until I got to drive another (ironically, also from just 3 miles away from me in Ft Worth) pristine example. Nope, - even with plenty of vintage car experience.

It was still great to just look at, though.

A step nose is beautiful! Not too hard to work on.

What's your preference? Original or more fun? They are fun little cars when setup right. I have seen a few with the V6 that alfa had in the 164. Scary beast that one.

I've had my GTV for 29 years and I enjoy it immensely.
It has just over 105,000 miles and drives like new.
I made a few mods - 1 inch wider wheels, Koni sport shocks and a rear anti swaybar.
I also removed the mechanical fan and installed a Haydon electric fan.
    A/C is the next mod.
    Check out the mirrors!

Been a Ferrari guy for over 40 years. Alfas came to may attention just a few years ago. Here in the mountains the handling of the Alfa makes them a match for the power of the Ferraris.

I am not a "must be original" guy. I modified my fav Ferrari, the 330 GTC to make it a better car. Points in a show don't improve the driving experience.

Thank you. But my effort in building is insignificant to the amazing structure Mother Nature created behind our home.

I like Alfas also... My 1968 1750 Spider Veloce. Parked for over 20 years in a garage in Half Moon Bay, Calif. Starting restoration.
    Had a 1960 Spider Veloce and a 1966 Duetto.

You and I must have similar taste. Scud. RX-7. A 2000 GTV will be my next sports car. My pops had a 1600 and 2000 in his late teens and early 20’s but I never saw it. Just heard stories. I might buy one as a surprise if I can find a good one for the right price.

What're those wheels called? I saw a picture of a Giallo Ocra 1750 GTV wearing them a while ago and fell in love! Coincidentally there is one for sale locally which I will purchase just as soon as I win the lottery.

Gorgeous Bob! A Sprint GT Veloce is my dream car, other than a GTA Stradale which I'd be too scared to drive on the street anyway.... The stepnose is the prettiest design IMO. I always wondered if they would be modifiable enough to become daily drivers in this day and age...

Momo Vega wheels, early seventies. Mine are original Momo’s, but modern replicas are available. Much lighter than original steel wheels which I also have.

Im sorry and people will probably call me an old fart, but an Alfa without a petrol engine is not an Alfa. It might be a nice and fast car but you need the sound of the carburated engine and you need the smell of petrol/oil in the cabin.

I remember when i was a student. My first car was a carburated 2.0 Spider from 1988. Every morning would wake up earlier before going to law school to warm it up. Pick up my friend and on the way to Uni on the highway at 6.30am. I would max the car out every morning (around 120 mph). By the time we got there, we were smelling like warm oil. But we loved it.
