The car is going to Minneapolis. Guy with a 15 year-old son. First Ferrari. I can only imagine the son's excitement level. Glad to see it'll go to a good home and be loved! I'm sure he'll be on Fchat.

Congratulations on the (hopefully) happy ending, Bruce! I'm sure your buyer is as happy to get it as you are to sell it.

If you have the opportunity and are willing, please give the buyer my contact info and tell him I would be interested in swapping spares so we each end up with five matching wheels. Many thanks.

    Best regards, Mark

Congrats to bruce and the new owner! Bruce...well done bringing a dino back to life. Too many good intention end up in boxes to be lost over time. Great to see the car returned to former glory.

To the new owner you got a great car from super knowledgeable builder. Drive it as it was ment to be driven. That means get to the track!

Mark, I'll reach out after I receive the vehicle, absorb everything and educate myself. What part of the country are you in? Thanks, Andy

There's a lot of restless variation in what was "the spare"..

My 1977 also came with optional 7.5" x 14" Star wheels, but had a Dino wheel as the spare rim.
I took it out and handed it to my mechanic!
He owned a 308GT4 himself for a time.
Ferrari used it as a smaller wheel.

A full size 14" star wheel will fit in the tub, no problem.
I even had a special star wheel once that said "THIS IS THE SPARE" in the casting!

I think it went with one of the cars I sold..

But even in the 14" star pattern there's THREE manufacturers that did not share the molds.
Every one has a different "14" wheel.

    HTH
Mainly as stated get out there and make some memories with your fanily.
    That's why there's four seats!!

    Welcome.....

I'd have guessed it was for assembly line purposes, but clearly for dumb '70s mechanics. :p

So you're the one... congratulations, Andy! I am in Texas, and am on my second GT4 (I had another back in the 1980s). I have had 10568 for about ten years now, and am as excited about it today as I was when I got it.

We'll talk more once you get settled in.

Best regards, Mark Jacks in Austin
