I've searched and read several posts on the Novitec SSs. But I haven't found any thread that explains the real driving experience differences between the stock springs and the Novitec's.

I'm about to add them to my 458 spider. I'm looking for a more sporty, firmer ride, and obviously lowered suspension. I don't want, however, to take it too far either. My GT3 991.2, for instance, has a great balance, definitely firmer than 458, but still daily drivable. I'd love to get that kind of result for the 458.

    Any thoughts from the community?

the owner of the local shop I always work with had them for a while and is selling them for a good deal ($1k) + labor. Spacers are part of the project too. I figure altogether should be around +$2k.

But this one is really important to me and so I’m happy to pay for it. I just hope the end result will be close to what I’m looking for!

yup i bought mine off a member here new for $1100 shipped. so all in all with spacers and dealer install its hefty $3700 Geez..but it really changes the look of the car, i hated how terrible the stance is and just couldn't deal with it anymore..i'm having a big item fixed so screwed anyways and figured let me extra screw myself all together at once lol

Thinking it over, the more I look at the stock setup, the more it looks like it needs a 20mm drop. Most likely early next year - I have one more shop visit this year but its for cats and fluid changes...........

You mean 20mm rather than 30mm? Is there really that noticeable difference?

That's perrrrrrfect. Looks just as low as my GT3.

But you're saying ride is the same as stock? Maybe for the Speciale, but I'm surely hoping it'll be more firm and sporty than the 458 spider stock!

Tarek, great to hear that you are getting the 458 lowered. I could have gone a little lower on mine, but I needed to clear my driveway.

I’m gonna do this to my Pista next year. Every Ferrari just sits too damn high!

    Absolutely! Wow. Stunning.
And the ride quality you’re describing (comparing to GT3) is exactly what I’m looking for.

That’s what they did to my friends 458 over a pothole...Ferrari said no more warranty because of that.
I got them on my FF, I don’t really see any pluses of them aside the looks

Thats an actual experience- if set up too low or just the fact u have those it enhances your Chance for that defect to happen and it will void your warranty so install knowing your warranty is gone if you have one.

    Got it. Thx.

Mine is 2013 so no warranty. The Novitec sport springs as far as I know don’t stiffen it up so much as to create that kind of trouble. Plus the 30mm lower is not that crazy or extreme, imho.

But in any case that’s why I’m asking the community about it. What happened to this guy, is it an isolated case or a trend? If isolated, who knows what could have happened...

I drove just behind him, 30mph pothole: boom.
Ferrari of SF the lower ride height triggered the sensor. The all panel cost 12k to fix. He did love them how it handled.
I have those on my FF and so far no issues.I’d recommend having the lift to avoid scraping the front valence

Got it. Sounds like Ferrari found the perfect excuse. That’s total BS, but of course it also depends on the size of the pothole too...

Glad you’re not seeing any issues. I do have the front lift and use it daily. It was a must have for me.
