Loaded up of for the holidays? Can you freeze caviar? Or, will it last that long in fridge (assuming unopened)?

They say it lasts 60 days in unopened jars in the fridge. (I don’t think you want to freeze it)

Haven't posted in a while - here's a Boston Butt I did a few days ago. Turned out great. I'll let the pics do the talking. The bone just fell out when it was done - 8 hours at 225* and then rested for an hour. Wrapped in butcher paper at hour 5 when it was stuck in the stall.

Eaten at the one by the convention center many times. Lawyer is in the building above the food court there.

Ya, interesting. I haven't had any problems with the farmed caviars...which are pretty prevalent and tasty. What are you buying you like....maybe I'll try some?

I've had caviar go bad in 3 weeks. Best to order right before your ready to eat or at least as quick as you can.

I got some of their Osetra. I think its farmed in Bulgaria. IIRC Plaza has their product in some renowned restaurants. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if its great or merely acceptable, nor how it compares to other sources. But for $33 an ounce, I picked up 6 ounces.

Max...Eating candy is supposed to ruin your supper (per my grandma) not be your supper!

Wife: Kroger has 16 - 23 lb turkeys, which do you want?
Me: How long have we been married?!?
Wife: Fine, I'll get the 23 lb turkey.
    Me:

Practice turkey on the smoker today. It was one of those self-basting jobbies, so no brining.

Oak and pecan. Three hours of heavy smoke. Finish in oven. I got a tad distracted with work, and it hit 180 F internal, so the breast meat was a tad dry. The rest was fine. Not too smoky. Good flavor.

Very nice. Looked at a couple pork butts when at the store this morning. Didn't go for them this time.

Got a lasagna from a decent Greek/Italian restaurant. Tonight will be sushi, or sashimi and chopped scallop rolls. Picking my dad up at the airport at 6pm. So I'll have dinner at my favorite Japanese restaurant.

Shashlyk is not something I ever heard of.
    Something like this?
    https://foodgeeks.com/recipes/ukrainian-shashlyk-17686.html

My typical lamb marinade is lemon juice, S&P, rosemary, EVOO.

I have not had a Pilsner Urquel since college, which is a few decades ago longer than I care to admit.

Indeed, it was delicious. Despite the fact that i am a big wine and beer fan, i had never tested before the Pilsner Urquel and i have to say that it has a very good flavour.
