I am currently doing a full restoration to one of my cars. One thing we are struggling with is finding an exact match (color, pile) for the wool carpet and floor mats. The typical Wilton Wool options are not precise. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to turn? Possibly a custom carpet entity that will replicate what we need? Any suggestions are appreciated.

There was a huge thread in 308 about GT4 boot (trunk) carpet and ended up with the guy getting custom made - alternatively maybe the Lambo factory's historic division could help

Thank you. Yes, I spoke with them. I was a bit surprised how limited they were in what they had to offer me, particularly given all I heard about them. Pretty much the same Wilton Wool samples I had found elsewhere.

You are welcome. I used World and GAHH when I did my 308 interior but I will say it didn't match the pile or thickness of what I think was an original piece of carpet I found up under the dash. But it looked good and it was "only" a 308. :) I got a rear boot carpet kit from somewhere else and it was pretty close to the same pile and look but I can't seem to find it now. I'll look in my notes if I remember.

Not sure what shape the carpet is in… But have you considered re-dying the carpet? I re dyed the carpet on my 82 Ferrari 308 GTSI. It turned out very well… Sprayed it and brushed it in place without removing it. I used RIT dye ..... Just saying…

Unless you’re able & willing to endure astronomically high (large scale ?) manufacturing expenses, prepare to compromise on your search.
Most of the exterior & interior refinishing materials (Connolly leather, Wilton wool carpet, paints, etc) available today and used in restorations have almost nothing in common with those made 30-40+ years ago.
