I love that your GT2 is red and your Pista is silver, colors that are traditionally the opposite. Well done.

 

I did the opposite on my Pista and DBS.

Very interesting indeed.

I always remember Random 550’s in Green and watching them sit around.

And then you look at some dinos in green and they are really nice now. However in the 80’s and 90’s everyone was painting them a different color!!

For the record the next car will be a 992 GT3 touring and it is my plan to keep it for ever.

I am going to do a Euro delivery and I want to build some big memories around the car so it is important that I get a color that will age well.

The other color I will consider will be a dark metallic blue too.

And one more rule I have is that no car can be the same color in the garage. Currently I have;

1. Red
2. Silver
3. Black
4. Metallic White
5. Chalk
6. Yellow
7. White
8. Basalt

I love your GT3 Touring idea! My choice of color would be Vesuivo Gray Metallic. I just might copy you on that idea.

 

I looked at your Pista and thought, wow, you got the body color painted inside the headlight housing. Then I looked at others and noticed they all have that color in the headlight housing. Funny, I have been around Pista's for years and with that shot it really showed that color well. Can't believe I just now noticed this.

 

Vesuvio is a very interesting color to me. As a matter of fact I don’t particularly have fond memories of it.

When I was younger I sold my 993 c2 and purchase a new 1998 996 which was in Vesuvio and I still remember to this day. I said to the sales manager from Porsche..... I am really worried about the resale of this particular color to which he added. It is very rare and people will fight for it!

And then when I went to trade it in 2 years late the same sales manager gave me a super low offer citing Vesuvio as a problem color to sell!! What a jerk!!

Argento is such a nice color in the Pista as it shows the gorgeous lines of the car... I could look at this car for hours!

Small world... I purchased a new 993 S in 98. It was a special paint combination in Vesuvio with mirrors, door handles, and rear grill in a pewter grey color. Loved the combination and would love to do it again.
