I have started rebuilding the steering rack on the 82 308 and need some help.
    1) The owners manual calls for gear oil and some here have switched to light grease. Which is the correct to use? If gear oil, what's the best way to fill the rack with the required amount?
    2) For the inner tie rods I received the cups and also springs. When I removed them, there were no springs behind the cups. Should I use them?
    Thank you

0 weight grease is prefered , and yes use the springs behind the cups for inner tie rod ends .

Heres a link to a Pantera steering rack rebuild how to , same steering rack as used in the 308 .
