    From a packaging/UI standpoint, yes.

Again, totally agree. If they put in a twin cam flat plane crank 600 hp motor in this thing you would have to wonder why someone would buy a used exotic other than just loving that brand.

ALSO agree in the 500 mile thing! Annoying. I did most of mine in one long trip to get over it quickly. Otherwise it could take month of city driving.

I would increase the exhaust noise and shorten the throw of the paddle shifters. Aside from that there's not much I would change outright.

Exclusivity would be one of the first that comes to mind.

Ferrari is cranking out 10,000 a year soon. 95% of all the Ferrari's made since the start of 360 Modena are still on the road. Right now there are 506 for sale on Ebay motors. McLaren and Lambo are doing the same.

I'm not sure "exclusivity" means much more with these brands other than the special editions.

Branding --- yes. You just want a Ferrari or a Lambo. I totally get that. But I think exclusivity is no longer what it was before Luca.

Exclusivity for sure is no longer what it was before. However, in some parts of the country exotics are still quite exclusive and rarely seen. What I disliked about Corvette ownership was there were so many of them on the road and on used car lots. I suspect in due season it will be the same with the C8. That said, Corvette is a whole lot of car for the money and amazingly economical given the performance it provides.

I can show you car lots in LA that have Ferrari's and Lambos on them sitting in the sun waiting for someone to buy them.

    Final stats on 2020 MY

    https://www.corvettemuseum.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/2020MY_Corvette_FINALYearEnd11172020.pdf

    Some interesting things

3LT interior (most expensive) was almost 50% of all cars and more popular with convertibles than coupes
Only 3600 Convertibles were made in 2020
76% paid for the Z51 performance package (that really surprises me given it was 5 grand), Z51 should be popular in resale
54% bought Mag ride -- which you can only get in 2020 with Z51. So a lot of Z51's came with Mag ride. (in 2021 you can get it without Z51)
Almost 60% bought the front lift.

In general it looks like Convertible people ordered more accessories and upgrades than the Coupe people.

Oh I do not doubt that. However, they are rarely seen in my area. Not true of Corvettes.

    any word on a ZR1 edition ?

I just picked up a '19 ZR1 manual and after not being in a vette for a while and I am smitten.

I would so consider a C8 as I think it is a gorgeous car but it would have to be a ZR1 contender , don't want to go backwards in power.

Theyre talking about a twin turbo quad cam V8 for the ZR1 rumored to be around 800hp, paddles only. 2022ish
Then theres the zora with same powerplant and two electric motors for the front wheels for a combine +1000 hp 2023 or so.
The special vettes kick off next year with the z06 which is a 600-650 hp flat plane crank v8, a more raw car track orientated.

I dont know if you have seen one yet, but the new Me vette is a very different car to your c7 which is the last of the raw he man beast.
Im guessing 800hp with paddle 7 speed will be no slouch and the zora in a different orbit.

Front lift also means front not spring perch height adjustable, for say track. Pretty neat for regular road use though.

    According to the Covette museum:
    • 1977. The 500,000th Corvette – a white coupe with red interior – is produced in St. Louis on March 15.

That was (43) years ago and just one model. A little perspective.

The wheels you were questioning whether GM released are in fact not GM OEM wheels.

ok but i was questioning why the factory would produce aesthetically unappealing wheels to begin with.
