Oil level light - 2010 California

I have not had this issue in the Cali, but in my 911.
It seems there is a lot of twists and turns in the plumbing, and so you can get air pockets and it can settle to a lower amount than you might think from looking @ the coolant tank.

At least, this is how the Porsche dealer explained it to me!

These days, I just let the F dealer do the service on the P-car, and ask them
to drive it around afterwards to get the air pockets out and then re-check.

30 miles seems like a long time for it not to have reset though.

Bad sensor, maybe. If there's no fault code you can always try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes to reset everything.

Ah, the good old days with vintage 911s when the inevitable oil leaks from the lines were the easiest way to tell you had oil in the car
